I think one misconception going on right now is the superiority of the SEC. The truth is the SEC has become very average very quickly. Heck the ACC vs SEC games I happened to watch this year was very competitive with about a 50/50 split. Clemson looked far superior to us. Georgia was just a td better than tech. UK got stomped by Louisville and FSU beat Alabama. This labeling the ACC as atrocious and SEC far superior isn't showing up on the field any longer. That being said if SC would've been an ACC team this year they would've finished in the bottom third.

Congrats to your daughter. You should be proud.

To be fair, i'm quite certain there aren't many male D2 swimmers raking in the NIL dollars.
Thanks, man. I hate to sound like a braggart, but sometimes women's sports don't get any cred, especially with kids who do all the same work as D1 kids... same amount of hours, same amount of sacrifice.

To be sure... the best D2 male swimmers go to D1 schools and get PAID. My daughter swam with the D2 men's swimmer of the year in 2023, who then went to UTx for his 5th year and paid off all his undergraduate debt and more than covered his graduate degree. Ben Sampson. Look him up... I was just BSing with him and his wife last weekend in Grand Junction. It's a wild world.

Seems like all that money could be spread around better for those who work the same hours and achieve at high levels.
