Damn, Kopp must have really been unhappy with coach.
Surely Nance must have been begging him to stay at NU.

Listen, make no mistake about it. People like us that post about these kids on message boards like this are idiots. That's a given. In real life, we'd never talk to or about these kids the way we do on here. But, I do believe that part of what they signed up for was to be entertainers. They are athletes, but in the end, they are entertainers. That is why they get to go to expensive schools for free. That is why they get to be on tv and be a presence in their communities. It is because part of their deal is to provide idiots like us an escape from our day-to-day stresses. That means we go overboard in worshipping them as heroes in the good times and act like degenerates in berating them when things go badly.

I'm sure Miller is a great kid and if any of us met him in person, we'd be extremely happy to talk to him. We'd hire him for our companies. Maybe even let him date our daughters (or sons, if applicable). But in the semi-fictional world that is big-time college basketball, Miller plays the role of a villain right now for NU fans. I'm glad he lost to us and I'm a little glad he didn't play particularly well. But I am also glad to see this video clip of him sharing those special moments with his good friend before and after the game.

Indiana sure could have used Kopp last night. Really wanted them to beat Wisky. But even on a team with a dearth of outside shooters Kopp can’t seem to contribute much if anything. In some respects it‘s sad to watch

Quite telling that at the end of the game when they had to have a three to tie, Kopp wasn't in the picture. Lack of 3-point shooting is killing Indiana lately.

I thought he was a great talent and we did a poor job developing? Robbie Beran has better all around stats than Kopp. How?
