and also features a Kentuckian and guy I grew up with as the protagonist. So crazy.

Read this great book on the subject years ago...

Me too. Same guy that wrote Black Hawk Down. Big fan of that book.

Should be solid. Slightly off topic, but I really enjoyed the brief Pabo Escabar stuff in Blow. "Please. To remove." Cracks me up every time.

Same here. That's one of my top 10 favorite movies. George's face after Pablo just shook that guy'so hand only to have him meet a firing squad five seconds later was priceless.

The protagonist is from Prestonsburg. Robbie "Boyd" Holbrook has blown up ever since Hatfields and McCoys mini series.

Boyd is a good actor. He had a couple small roles in well received films last year. (The skeleton twins and Gone Girl).

I'll probably pick up on it when I am done with Dexter. Hearing it's high quality though.

Just stop watching after season 4 or 5. Dexter rapidly declines after that because the original showrunner left.

Sosa, he's been in Hatfields and McCoys, Put of the Furnace, Gone Girl, Run all Night, and more. Pretty cool.

Are there Sub titles for Spanish speaking scenes? I started watching 1st episode on my TV and not seeing any? I just checked and I see them on my Netflix on my PC but not my TV. Well I finally saw were I could turn on Sub Titles though the Netflix app on TV but it gives Sub titles for all speaking both English and Spanish. Not sure if you can get just sub titles for Spanish only but if not I can watch it this way.

Watched the first two episodes. Awesome so far and really drawing me in as an Escobar supporter, which it usually isn't hard for me to go against the authority.

I don't know about this, I saw Medellin when it premiered at the Cannes film festival a few years ago and it bombed pretty hard.
I didn't like this either I think it was maybe the worst film I've seen with Vincent Chase in it. I did enjoy watching him in Aquaman though.

Season 5 definitely is a step below the first 4 seasons. I've read 6 is by far the worst but 7 had the best ratings, plus I'm invested in the show, so I'm going to stick through to the end.

How can any civilized person admit supporting a guy who blew up a jetliner full of men women and children just to kill one man? One man who wasn't even on the plane? That's kinda sick, whether you are against authority or not, whatever the hell that means.

Have you seen the shows? The plane incident was covered later and they got around to making him out as the bad guy he was. In the beginning he was your typical drug dealer wanting to change his country and had more money than his country so he could do it.

Watch the shows is all I can tell ya

Show should have ended after season 4 in hindsight. Best season ever for that show.

Heisman, do you have any connections to any of the actors in this series?

Just one; the guy playing Steve Murphy. Grew up with him, played on the same high school basketball team with him, and worked with him when he got his big break into modeling. I have not spoken to him since 2012 though.

Dude got signed as a model and became big time. Then like most models, got bored with it and pursued acting in 2007. I think he sent some short film or something to Gus Van Sant, which gave him a part in Milk. Then did some other stuff before getting the big break with Hatfields and McCoys.

I'm just a big fan of seeing someone from the garbage town I grew up get big time.

I just re-read this and think you are being sarcastic. [laughing]

Used to be a friend. Too big time now[laughing] . Boyd Holbrook. He plays Steve Murphy. He's the main cop. He's from eastern Kentucky.
He was a model for a while,

Wonder why he doesn't at least use his real first name. Buddy of mine's wife works for his mother. She claims he's still level headed.
