If I am correct, Narrows hasn't beaten their county rival since 2002, and has only won once in the last 24 years. What's more, the vast majority of the losses have been blow outs. Is this the year the Green Wave bucks the tide? I'll certainly be rooting for them. Good luck!

I think it will be a competitive game, but Giles should still win. The Green Wave controlled the first half last year. I actually felt like Giles might lose that one, but the Spartan defense stiffened in the second half to get the win. One thing's for sure. Half the county's population will be there.
It is going to be tough on the green wave not to be just another splash against the Spartans'. Last year they were in the exact same spot and lost 12 to 28 which is good compared to most years....

I'd like to see Narz win but I don't see them going to pearisburg and leaving with a W. I watched Giles last week just completely wear down graham in the second half. Narrows might be able to keep it close in the first half but Beidelman will rack up the yards in the second. He's averaging around 240-250 yards per game over the first 3.
I hope I'm wrong though!
Giles just keeps pounding on you and pounding on you. Still a lot of old school football played by Giles. I think the green wave will have a hard time beating them unless they get some turnovers and a lucky break here and there
Honestly if Narrows had had a kicker (or used one for that matter) last year would have been a much closer, possibly even different, game. I look for more of the same this year, but if the Green Wave can keep it close through the first half and pin Giles back it is possible. I'm still taking Giles though. They won't drop this one at home...not if they want to enjoy their weekend. LOL
I suspected that might have been wrong but didn't have time to research it. Are you going to be at the game, SW_VA_boy? It's a bit of a drive for me and I'm sure I won't find a seat, but I'm thinking about it.
Will be a close game. Narrows is very good on the line and is better than Graham on the line of scrimmage. Giles struggles to stop teams. That's become evident through the first part of the season. They are suspect they the big play as Grahams speed was to much for Giles. Giles had a great run game in the second half, but if Graham holds on to the ball, that game gets nowhere near overtime. Narrows doesn't have the big play threat and will need to be perfect in the turnover game to win. Giles wins something similar to last year. Not a blowout, but a game in which Giles will have well in hand by the fourth quarter. Giles 31, Narrows 17. Narrows has no speed and can't throw. That plays right in to Giles advantage. Giles can't stop the pass (Blacksburg) and doesn't like speed (Graham.) Narrows has neither, but is so good up front they will still get 17 points and 200+ rushing yards running right at Giles.
Giles won last year by passing. 2 big pass plays got them back in the game after falling behind 12-0 early
Yeah, any year a team can beat auburn, bland, and montcalm, you're a team of destiny for sure.
Meant to say went undefeated in 1962, and started 3-0 in 2002 and 2016 before losing to giles.
