Nas not a fan of hof coach Roy Williams coaching

https://www.newsobserver.com/sports/article230497369.html

No joke but he went for hof coach roy williams bait ,hook, line and sinker. There is no doubt in my mind if hof coach roy williams had not gone into coaching we would still see him on television with that blue plaid jacket selling used cars or doing furniture commercials saying " Come on down to Big Ole Roy's discount furniture warehouse and let's deal." Or be on one of infomercials selling anything from foot massages to vibrating pillows. OFC

Bingo Sky!! That is the thing I despise most about ole Roy. That " I can't believe anyone would ever do anything wrong, because I sure don't" attitude.

The Nas and UNC relationship always seemed a little tense, IMO. He just never looked like he fit.

People also forget that UNC was never his first choice. He went there because he felt it was his best choice at the time.

So I don't see anything wrong with this at all. The part about him never having to only shoot, didn't have anything to do with Zion, IMO. There was a stretch of games where Everytime he tried to drive with the ball he lost it. I think the game got too fast for him, which it does for most freshman, so he had to become "only a shooter".

There’s nothing wrong with it at all. I’m sure some could make nit-picky observations, though. He’s confident....good for him. I don’t think he’ll be better than either Zion or RJ, but I also don’t think Cam has come close to reaching his potential.

Eh, fun interview by Cam. Like seeing him stick up for Zion, what with the pressure Z faces. Clearly good dudes. And obviously Cam will say that he will be a better pro!:). Everyone should! :)

Gotcha, yeah i read that earlier, didn’t think anything bad about and enjoyed what he said. Wasn’t sure if there was another one out there.

Cam has a lot of confidence, i hope he’s got a big chip on his shoulder throughout his career and does big things. Kid is very well spoken and i love the bond they all have.

Don’t know that he will be better than either RJ or Zion but cool to see the confidence he has in himself.

I do think if Cam had played CLOSER to his potential this year Duke would have made it to the FF... OFC

Well we were a bucket away so that’s not exactly a stretch haha

If we didn’t turn it over 17 times and have 0 points in transition, we would have made it to the final four too.

And you make wonderful points!!! All I am saying is I simply feel if Cam had played more up to ABILITY AND POTENTIAL ADVERTISED per what, top 3-5 players in COUNTRY, we would have gone further "too."

I am not saying he doesnt have the upside, not at all, he may be NBA ROY, who knows....I know we shot the ball abysmally from the perimeter, but if Cam had been the more CONSISTENT SHOOTER as he was described, dang- Duke just becomes a much tougher out.

Certainly have no problems with his defense, which will certainly help him at the next level. OFC

Can't disagree. I found Cam to be one of the biggest disappointments we've had in a long, long time. Can't even count how many times he just charged into a defender or just lost the ball. When you have just about the lowest shooting percentage coupled with the highest turnover rate... that's not good.

Didn't see this coming at all . That being said Roy does a great job with the talent he gets. Little wasn't consistent enough to be complaining.

Some guys are always going to blame underachieving on something else. They didn't get enough playing time, or if they did get the playing time, they weren't used correctly. I'm not saying that's not the case in some situations because it probably is, but I am assuming the player that holds himself accountable is the guy that succeeds in this scenario.

This is the time of year some of these guys say stuff like cam and naz have (could be based on an agents urging). They need or want to prove to GMs and the media that they are stars. I didn’t think either said anything too negative about their former programs.

Reddish is the type of versatile player that usually does really well at duke. He had trouble making shots and holding on the ball for some reason. He did make clutch shots and played really good defense.

Naz might be a little raw and unc had seniors ahead of him at his “true” position. He did seem to play with a lot of effort. Not sure UNC’s system was the best fit for him in how Roy usually uses wings as jump shooters. And naz isn’t the best jump shooter.

We joke about it but this is right, these kids are trained on what to say. I remember Miles Plumlee making comments similar during his pre draft interviews.
