That was much better last night, they should just keep doing the Clash there from now on, or maybe rotate different historic short tracks every year. The LA Coliseum race was a ridiculous idea.

Yup I agree that the Coliseum was a horrible idea and rotating different historic tracks could be a cool throwback to NASCAR roots. I'm sure that they will screw it up somehow though.

Probably so. Thought I heard someone throw out Brazil last night as a potential place they would run it. I am completely against that for the Clash. Now if they want to add an exhibition race such as when NASCAR went to Japan at the Suzuka Circuit in the 90s after the season, then I am fine with that for another opportunity to watch racing. Just don't screw up the Clash.

I hadn't heard that but what is funny was I started to put they would take it to another country in my previous post but thought "No even NASCAR isn't that stupid"....I stand corrected. 🤣

It’s disheartening that NASCAR completely sabotaged speed weeks by shrinking it. There is going to be a year that rain sweeps through Daytona on Wednesday and Thursday thus ruining the short week NASCAR settled on.

It's NASCAR and screwing up things is just what they have done for 20+ years since Brian France first took over. He has tried to turn it into a celebrity filled stick and ball sport and abandoned the fans who made them huge.

Why would NASCAR throw a caution with the leaders almost at the line. Stupid decision and they looked like a bunch of fools.
Absolutely unnecessary. 75 feet from the line and ruined what would have been an all-time great finish in the history of the 125s. Let them finish racing back to the line on the last lap here. NASCAR can't get out of their own way when it comes getting in the way of themselves to blow a call. Can't wait to hear Elton Sawyer's sorry *** excuse to spin this one. Not like the accident was on the backstretch and it was the final lap for goodness sake. Comical how NASCAR thinks this was a great finish by letting their officials single-handedly determine the outcome by throwing the caution lights for a race that would be over in mere seconds. Anyone who thinks this was a good decision by NASCAR only does so just to be a contrarian.

I know Harvick defended NASCAR and said they don't want guys driving through wrecked cars to get to the start finish line but from the time the lights came on until the last cars would have passed through the start finish line there wouldn't have been time for the spotters to see the caution, cue up the mic, tell the drivers caution was out and then the drivers react. You are totally right @M4CAT it's not like it was in turn 3 or on the backstretch. The leaders were probably 100 feet from the start finish line moving at 190 MPH when the light cam on. I looked it up and at 190 MPH that is 278 feet per second. So to the back of the field it was a max of 2 seconds...again not enough time for the dominoes to fall to get drivers to back off and coming to the line like that they wouldn't anyway.

Just another poor decision by NASCAR to ruin what would have been one of the all time great finishes. That is why I have went from never missing one lap of a race, even if that meant watching it on a VCR tape that I recorded it on back in the day, to not really caring if I miss a race or not.

Should have learned their lesson after the last two disasters of rain impacting the Chicago street course. I miss early afternoon Sunday races and the Daytona 500 finishing in the daylight.

Hilarious that NASCAR can just take a race win away based on whatever they justify. There is no other organization in sports that just makes up and changes rules as they go like NASCAR.

Sort of defeats the purpose of pre race inspection if after the race they can determine a car can be DQ'd through adjustments.

I never was a Kevin Harvick fan as a driver. However, I really enjoy his commentary. IMO he is the best TV play by play guy in a long time.

Clint Bower is okay.

Mike Joy is the play-by-play announcer. Harvick and Bowyer are color commentators in the booth as driver analysts. There is a difference in their roles for the broadcasts.

Logano was as much responsible for that as anyone. Logano is always pushing the issue and being over aggressive. Put the two of those *** clowns together at the front of the field and it was only a matter of time.
Yup... and he is being over agressive while his teammates are running 1-2 and he caused one of them to be knocked out. Freaking idiot

I have never seen a car like Preece's raise up like that off it's front wheels like a monster truck before going around.

It was windy AF yesterday. Unbelievable imagery with that entire sequence. You could tell in his interview he saw his life flash before his eyes again.
