It was quite possibly the worst play I've ever seen by a defensive back. The only way he could have made it worse was if he tackled Davie.

If you re-watch the entire game, watch Gerry only. I don't know why but he had a terrible day. Poor angles and poor effort all day. I don't get it, I had high hopes for him but he was terrible yesterday.
The new defense calls for safeties to be decision makers. He's not a good decision maker yet.

I've noticed him taking poor angles all year, but that was pretty bad yesterday. Not sure what's going on with him.

At least we don't have 2 OL blocking each other like Florida?

We only have three more games to lose. I'm sure he'll work on his footwork so he doesn't have to run completely into Davie next time. He's probably recovering from sore muscles from all the twisting and turning he had to do to keep from running into that Northwestern quarterback. Poor guy.

Whats bad isn't the only incident like this. Check out the play when the big scrum occurred. He was just standing there doing nothing, or the touchdown in the corner of the endzone. I've seen bball players not flop that bad.

Not just yesterday. They are all playing so damn slow. Looks really familiar.

It hasn't been just this game. He has been horrible all season, and if I were to guess he is one of the cancers.

I didn't get to watch the game yesterday, but saw this on Twitter last night.

Two defenders bumping each other can occur, what's irritating is that Gerry, a former state sprint champion, looks like he slows down and gives up the chase at the 45 yard line. Two years ago, I thought he was headed to the NFL. Is he hurt?

What's irritating to me is that Gerry threw an elbow at the defender.

Gerry play this year has been odd all year makes you wonder where his mind set is

I agree. I don't like to bust on players, especially because someone like Gerry has more athletic ability than I'll ever dream of, so it makes me wonder if he's hurt or is the new system causing him to think too much and not react with his normal burst?

We know where is mind is. We've just become so politically correct most won't call a spade a spade.

He's half ***'n it because he's a Bo guy... and Riley can kiss his *** out the door.

Gerry has always been hit and miss his whole career. Now he's damn near all miss because his heart is in the Bo camp. It's on Gerry to prove people wrong and play with some god damn heart. But i doubt you see that because that ship left with Bo.

And not just this season, but he had some terrible games last year too. Always seemed to take terrible angles. He had a lot of tackles last year, but many of those were from chasing the runner from behind after taking a poor angle.

Id probably agree with what you said if it wasn't for the forearm he sticks into Davie. Time for Nate to sit or transfer to Youngstown.

I agree, this problem has been going on pretty much his entire career here at Nebraska. I thought he did better as a freshmen, then what he is doing currently.

Gerry and Banderas both spoke out after the coaching change about how much they liked the new scheme, that it required fewer reads and allowed the players to be more instinctive.....doesn't sound too pro-Bo to me.

Agree. Also, watch some of the defensive line in the 3rd and 4th quarters , especially Malik Collins. Some of them checked out of the game both mentally and physically. Really sad .
