Oats just calls it as he sees it. Refreshing in a way! CMP sugarcoats every player and scenario so you just tune him out after awhile. It will be refreshing if/when the truth comes out after the season is over.
He told Pope how he could fix a problem and instead of accepting it Pope made up some BS crap that his Bigs were elite teammates. Maybe so, they still don’t pass to open shooters. Every coach in the conference wished Oates would have kept quiet and watched UK players do the same thing over and over having the ball taken away.
Byington built almost exactly the same type of nonconference schedule Florida did last year. Instead of playing the worst teams in the country or the best, you play a bunch of the worst power conference teams and top mid majors. It’s actually genius and I wish we did it also.
