Just curious to hear any thoughts on this, but with all of the hype about Zion being National POY..I think a real case can be made that he is Defensive POY too.

Should be said, I also am on this push, because Zion made the finalist cut-off and Tre, for whatever reason, was omitted. Am I drinking too much Koolaide or do you guys think he has a realistic shot at winning this award too?

Zion and Tre are two of the best, not sure why Tre wouldn't make it.

Have you guys seen Matisse Thybulle of Washington play? He's a 6'5 wing that leads the nations in steals (3.3 per game) and he's also in the top 25 in blocks (2.2 blocks). A good chunk of his blocks aren't even on help-side defense. He's a defensive machine. I think he might be the favorite to win the award.

Matisse is making a strong case. I wouldn’t be mad at all if he got it.

The thing about Tre is that if the NCAA counted steals like the NBA, he’d have 5 a game. And that’s not an exaggeration. Tre is doing it for the best team in the nation and part of the reason they’re the best is because of his defense. For that, I’m partial to Tre.
