How does it work in the National Duals as far as the redshirting wrestlers and their certain number of matches they can wrestle in their RS? Does everything on one day count as one, or does each match on a day count as the number? So if Ludington wrestled two matches on a Saturday, has he used one or two? Thanks.

Seems that would be a good chance to use deluca and ludington then!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe it’s 5 dates and you can use 1 multi-day event as 1 date, but not multiple. So this would count as one date, but if you use this as one date a team couldn’t also use CKLV or SS or Midlands or other SS as just one date as well. You only get 1 of those. If a guy wrestles in this and another multi-day event they would be using 3 dates.
Pretty sure Solider Salute is second semester. Arnold wrestled unattached as a TFR.
KV is 3rd in line at 149 if I had to bet on it.
That’s what I thought. I was just curious why Ryder Block didn’t go last night. I believe he will be much better at a heavier weight and especially due to being healthy.

My point was about only 1 of the 5 dates being a multi-day event. So I was just trying to add that Leo and Harvey could wrestle at both National Duals and Soldier Salute without any issue.
That's wrong it's 2 times . Friday dual and Sunday dual can count as 1 date as well. You can do it twice a year not once
Yea. I thought the rule was you could only count 1 multi-day event as 1 date so if they did both it would count as 3 dates, but Corby corrected me that you get 2 multi-day events counting as 1 date. So if a wrestler wrestled attached at Nat Duals, CKLV, and a holiday tournament, 2 of those events would be 1 date each and the 3rd would count as 2 dates so that wrestler would be at 4 dates total. Sorry for any confusion coming from my wording.
How do you wrestle for Iowa unattached?

Friday/Sunday duals on one weekend only count as one competition date, same as a two day tourney would, as far as scheduling (think it's still max of 16 competition dates for a school) so makes sense it would count the same for the RS rules.
They can count as 1 competition date twice a season. Where as 2 day tournaments always count as 1 date
If the plan is to run the guys we brought in as transfers then why give the experience and matches with good competition to the redshirts. If they were expected to be the guys we wouldn’t have brought these guys in. I personally feel by seasons end Petersen will be pretty tough to beat with Brands fine tuning him.
I imagine Tom and Terry will pick and choose which matches and matchups they give Ludington and Deluca. But you certainly want to give them all the live college level experience you can without burning your shirt. Just makes good sense.
