Nebraska as a 2 in the elite 8, of course if we get that far, but be the most ideal matchup ever. Are they really being projected as a 2 seed?
Nebraska is projected as a 3 seed currently. Between Nebraska, Illinois, and Purdue, those 3 teams are going to be playing musical seeds these next 2 weeks.
Illinois can light it up but can’t play a lick of defense. One of those teams If they are hot they will be tough. Purdue seems to be a bit overrated
Agreed Jimbo. Illinois also lacks a lot of athleticism. Their 7 footers have zero desire to score down low.
Give me anyone as our 2/3 besides Florida or Houston, which seems unlikely at the moment. Both teams are really good and have the size to compete with us.

Yeah want absolutely no parts of Florida in our bracket. I think Duke, UA, Michigan and Florida are the best teams in the country. I think UConn is solid, but they’re not a final four team.
I have a feeling Florida and Uconn are going to end up in the same region when the bracket is released in a couple weeks.
I also think getting the overall #1 is big. Then we will avoid Michigan Arizona until the title game, most likely.
I agree jimbo and at the moment Florida may be the second best to be honest.

I can't see Iowa St as a 1 seed. I guess if they win out, sure. Just don't see that happening. The four most likely will be Duke, Michigan, Arizona and UConn. Florida is tapping on UConn's shoulder though.

If this bracket is accurate, the West looks the easiest, followed by the East.
After the one seeds, Florida, and Houston, you can almost just start plucking names out of a hat.
Kentucky drops another so that’s 11 losses. They play Florida Saturday so that will be 12, and they’re not winning the SEC tournament.

IMHO, just like UNC getting in last year, Kentucky will get in somehow. The committee loves the blue bloods. In all honesty though, I think if Duke were in the same situation, the committee would find a way to get us in too. Lot's of politics at play. Ratings = $$$$
The selection committee likely won’t hold it against KU since Self was ejected in the first half. Then they’ll pretend like the games without Peterson didn’t matter. All of it to justify propping them up with a ridiculously high seed so they can play close to home. If they could give them a 2 seed without being a complete laughingstock they would.
Wins against St. John’s, two against Tenn, one against Ark will get them in no doubt. They’re still 10 7 in a good league though the Sec is def off from the past few years with Uk and Auburn and Tenn being down from the past few yrs
Agreed. You figure they will lose at least one more game so that makes 10. There no way that’s a 3 or even a 4 seed resume. If they won’t win the big 12 tournament it should legitimately be investigated if they are a 4 seed.
