For those planning a visit to New Orleans, I highly recommend the WWII Museum. But plan at least a 2 day visit. I visited today and was amazed. And make sure you watch the 45 minute film "Beyond All Boundaries" in the Solemn Victory Theater, narrated by Tom Hanks.

Absolutely a great place, and completely agree about two days, minimum. And due to his close friendship with Steven Ambrose, there are several mentions and interviews with with one of the great sons of Pennsylvania, Dick Winters.

GREAT museum

I bet it actually gets the 400K visitors a year that Barron's Folly (aka new art museum) is supposed to get

it attained that number pretty early in its existence. The most recent figures I could find for annual attendance were for 2023, where they had over 800,000 visitors.

I had a temp job for 3 months in 2018 after being laid off. I would roam the museum at lunch time and on breaks. Soooooooooo much to see.
