Surely even libs are pleased with this one. Pence stated that Trump believes NATO members must pay their committee share of NATO costs, 2% of GDP spent on defense. Only 4 countries, including the U.S. met that goal.

NATO agreed. Goal achieved. Now let's see the money.

Germany for example currently pays only 1% of its GDP in defense spending. Ridiculous.

I say dissolve it period. Ya'll along with Australia, Britain and Denmark decided to break rank in 2003...let's see how she goes....perhaps a new agreement/alliances can be made. If not I'm quite certain I will get up and go to work years down the road ( health willing), just the same as I always have agreement or not...

And will we also be pulling resources from other countries where we have defensive positions? That's another Trump policy that I'd like to see some follow through on.

Some of those bases need to be maintained for strategic reasons like Ramstein in Germany, but do we really need an air base in the Netherlands and one in Belgium?

I am not a military guy and I will leave that judgment up to the experts. However I am certainly not opposed to closing on needed basis and saving money. We need to rebuild our military capability and our military assets and if I can free up money to do so, I am all in favor of it. Getting NATO to finally pay their fair share should help a bit.
