Love the draft. This one while not spectacular, is heavy with some big names in college ball this year. Not a lot of international players. It’ll be fun to see where these guys go.

My hot take is that Darius Garland busts. If he was a late round pick, I’d get it, but him at 4 or 5 is going to set a team back a couple of years. I’ll probably be wrong haha.
You could be right. Depends on his shot. The release reminds me of Trae Young a little. If he can knock down the 3 at the next level I think he has a chance to be really good. He is super shifty and quick, so I think he will thrive in the pick n roll, if he can keep defenders honest with the 3 ball.

By following loads and loads of draft coverage. Some "experts" seem to think this is a 3 player draft and then picks 4-14 are a crap-shoot. And some think it's a 4 player draft with Garland included.

I can't say I have much of an opinion on Garland since didn't get to watch him all year.
My hot take is I think it's ridiculous that Morant is penciled in to go over RJ. Call me a homer, but I don't think it's crazy at all to still think RJ ends up being the best player in this draft.

Cool, I guess.

.... Seems like a UK achievement they'd celebrate.

I think you’re reaching. A lot of the fun people have at UK’s expense regarding the NBA was when Cal called it ‘the best night in program history’....or something to that effect.

Producing NBA level talent is a big deal to these kids. Hearing the praise Zion’s given Duke sends a message. I mean, ultimately, yeah....whatever. But Duke is the ‘cool’ school right now and they’ve created an incredible social media brand. It’d be way less cool not to celebrate our former players and not show off some pretty ridiculous distinctions.

Right! And it’s not like Coach K is out there touting his guys in the NBA like Cal. But this is a Duke University stat. It was a stat I didn’t know and I’m sure 99% of the people on here would have never guessed Duke would have the most all time (after tonight’s draft).

I’m one of those that didn’t know that Duke will have the most #1 all time picks after tonight

God i.hope so. I think 2 steals New Orleans could get late are Bol Bol and Carsen Edwards.
The only way I see RJ ending up with the Pelicans now would be if he gets traded to them post draft or for some crazy reason he’s still available when the Pelicans make their #8 pick. With New Orleans having the #8 it makes you wonder if they could end up deciding to pick Cam if he’s available because that’s in the range that he’s predicted to be selected but I doubt it would happen.
