Kanter has been a huge pickup for the Blazers. Especially since Nurkic got injured. It’s fun to see Seth and Rodney on the same team again. Damian is s beast and a lot of fun to watch. CJ is too, but I’m not a big fan of his for obvious reasons.

I didn’t see this thread when I created the blazers Thunder thread. I should have remembered it since I posted in it. Probably can merge the blazer thread with this one. My bad.

I’m really not much of an NBA fan but it’s 12:14 and I’ve got some things to get done before I go to bed, so I’m watching the Rockets/Jazz game and the Rockets were down most of the first half but they’ve made a comeback and it’s a close game in the 3rd quarter. If the Rockets win tonight it will be the 3rd series sweep in the first round of the playoffs.

I’m rooting for the Rockets. I want them rested so they can go 7 with the Warriors. Then I hope the Spurs beat the Nuggets and are content with the one series win and rollover for the Blazers. Then the Blazers beat the Rockets/Warriors winner bc they’re exhausted from the prior series. Then the Blazers beat the team from the East.

This hope is 10% bc I root for the Blazers and 90% bc I put $10 on the Blazers at 80/1 when I was in Vegas in March.

I don’t really watch the NBA other than an occasional playoff game if there’s nothing else to watch on tv, it would be cool if 1 of the teams that have 1 or more Duke players won though.

Wold have never thought Lillard would unanimously be considered a better player than Russel Westbrook. But here we are. This is OKC's ceiling with Westbrook.

That shot by Lillard was unbelievable. The guts to take it, from that distance is mind blowing. The guy has done nothing but grind and grind to be where he is. Love his game.

Yeah, I had been underrating him pretty bad up until this year. He’s got a case to be a top 5 player right now. He’s really good.

He may be the one player who individually could give the Warriors fits in the playoffs (didn’t say they’d beat them). He takes it to another level in April and May. He always has. And if McCollum keeps playing like he has, they become really tough.

He rises in the playoffs and Russ shrinks. I’d say the thunder have to shop him but no one wants him at this point. Pretty insane.

Seth Curry had some big plays last night, including a steal from George with a little over a minute left. Portland probably doesn’t win the game if he doesn’t get that steal.

Lillard might have taken over the old Allen Iverson prototype of...."pound-for-pound, the best player in the NBA."

You’re absolutely right. On top of that, name a player on a winning team who is more important to that team than Lillard. It’s criminal that he isn’t in the hunt for MVP. He’s been just that for a couple of years now.

I just want someone to beat the Warriors. Draymond is the most annoying player in the world to me. I dont watch them that much but the other day I was watching and I swear after ever drive and score he was screaming "and 1", and I ready disliked him before that. I think the coach even dislikes him deep down

I'm not a Westbrook fan but i have to give him credit for one thing...he busts his *** 100% if the time...dude never takes a play off

He absolutely does. I love how hard he plays.

NBA fans have used this loss as a way to tear down Russ, which I get as his on court personality is rough and polarizing. But this should be more about Dame and how he came back from last season’s playoff debacle.

Quick update.....

Game seven between Nuggets/Spurs - never doubt a Pop-led team. So what do I do? I’m going to doubt them. I think Denver wins a great game tonight and advances to play the Blazers.

Sixers vs. Raptors - looks like a great series on paper. I’ll go with the Raptors in seven.

Warriors vs. Rockets - this is what everyone wanted. The Warriors have played like they’re beatable and I still think there’s some dysfunction within the team. Ultimately, I think they outlast the Rockets in six (maybe seven) games.

Bucks vs. Celtics - I picked the Raptors to come out of the East when these playoffs started, so I’m not changing now....but the Bucks are better than I gave them credit for a few weeks back. Bucks in five games.

J.J. is on fire to start the second half of game one. He’s made four three’s in the first three minutes and 30 seconds.
