I was thinking the same thing for the most part. Class 4 a is to me pound for pound the toughest. Even though I am a person mostly into 6a through 8A, I have included 4a into the mix, cause like I said pound for pound it’s 4a. I’m a graduate of a 7a catholic school in Chicago, but 4a has like 5 tough teams that are all capable of winning state. It’s not one or two tough teams this year.
Coal City, IC Catholic, Rochester, Bishop Mac maybe, and Richmond. The biggest surprise and possibly the team that may win it is Coal City. Last year they fell short in the playoffs losing to Richmond by 3. They were good last year, but much better this year. They beat up on Morris and Bishop Mac. Rochester and Coal City would be a close game either way. I think IC rein is over this year. What are the other 4 teams you are thinking about (assuming you are including Rochester as one of the 5)? If they are the same 4 I am thinking of, do you see any of those 4 being in the group of 16 with Rochester? If not, then Rochester has a cake walk to DeKalb, and the other 4 will have to slug it out with each other.
400 Bad Request
Nazareth is pretty tough. Mt. Carmel is pretty tough as well, but they have a young team. I’m thinking in 7a it could possibly be Nazareth again. In 8A things looks very much up for grabs. The teams to look out for is St. Rita as they seem to be coming alive, Notre Dame, even though it is shocking that they are in 8A. All the way down in 4a Coal City. While Rochesters record is strong, have to take a look at the records of the teams they beat. This year Coal City beat up on a 5a team Morris, and then beat up on Bishop Mac. Coal City has played much tougher teams.
So you don’t need to watch out for LWE, Loyola, HF the Brook & Warren or, well you get where I am going. 8A is stacked and their are a lot of teams to watch out for including the two teams you mentioned.
