Agreed...I will preface this that I am a MS guy, the refereeing in this game was atrocious. The first half there were several real bad calls against MS, but the second half NC got hosed on several(4-5) no calls against MS that were blatant and could have made a big impact. If I was a NC fan, there would be a legit grievance, but our kids took advantage and showed their Swag. Very entertaining game.

Wow great game! MS down the whole game until 3 min left. Fotis took over and you see why he is in the POY conversation. NC was really a great team. #1 and #21 were STUDS. Their specials were great and both lines were great. We made the right halftime adjustments and were fortunate to advance. Hawk Yah![/QUOTE

Face mask wasn’t a face mask, and for sure one of the Intentional groundings were not IG as our receivers were there.Face mask play in beginning of 4th, roughing kicker on fotis, o’sullivan Intentional grounding not called twice, one was for sure. There were numerous other plays that were bad calls or no calls it seemed. Bad both ways, but worse for NC in second half.
You can look several ways about this game and it comes down to one thing...you cannot....put the ball on the ground....get picked....get flagged for nailing the other team out of bounds against a team like Maine South and expect to win...it's that simple..When that ball went backwards and Fotis got to it and the Redhawks were flagged for the late hit...it turned the tide...and then Central put the ball on the ground twice after that....Losing Reed was huge as it took away the big bat...WR Tommy Coyne was done for the season before the playoffs as well so a large part of the Redhawks offense was gone..You know, I was in the field house right after I arrived (10:45 AM) talking to a Father of one of the Hawk players and he asked me what I thought Central had to do to have a good chance of winning, and my reply was right out of Friday Night Lights (movie)...."Be perfect"....they weren't and it's over...So congrats to Maine South ans whoever they face next beit Oswego or a rematch with LW East it should be a great game....Wow great game! If Reed stays in the game they win IMO. Once NC became one dimensional it was a battle against the clock. The turnover on the kickoff killed them. You can look several ways about this game and it comes down to one thing...you cannot....put the ball on the ground....get picked....get flagged for nailing the other team out of bounds against a team like Maine South and expect to win...it's that simple..When that ball went backwards and Fotis got to it and the Redhawks were flagged for the late hit...it turned the tide...and then Central put the ball on the ground twice after that....Losing Reed was huge as it took away the big bat...WR Tommy Coyne was done for the season before the playoffs as well so a large part of the Redhawks offense was gone..You know, I was in the field house right after I arrived (10:45 AM) talking to a Father of one of the Hawk players and he asked me what I thought Central had to do to have a good chance of winning, and my reply was right out of Friday Night Lights (movie)...."Be perfect"....they weren't and it's over...So congrats to Maine South ans whoever they face next beit Oswego or a rematch with LW East it should be a great game....
Injuries this time of year are killer. It definitely helped us not having to worry about Reed. Great year Central. If Reed stays in the game they win IMO. Once NC became one dimensional it was a battle against the clock. The turnover on the kickoff killed them.
I think you might be right here.... officiating was horrible today.I preface this by saying that the 3 second half turnovers killed NC -- but I just watched the hudl film and 41 was not blocked into the punter. He ran UNTOUCHED off the edge and clearly roughed. Obvious call not made.
