I watched NC State tonight. They wrestled Duke, which is not a great mertric as they are an unfunded program, meaning no scholarships,... so tough to compete in the ACC. NC State is a good team and their strengths are at similar weights was ours. They are ranked 5 in the country. The only weight I think they will be favored in is 133. I think we win at least 8 of the 10 matches. Best match in terms of rankings should be HWT as they are ranked 4.

We’ll find out tomorrow. Gotta wrestle the matches. Hope we smoke ‘em haha
I feel like we will unless we’re about to hit that January slump that PennStateFan has been telling us about. On paper I only see us losing 133 and maybe 157.

We (NCSU) are definitely going to have to go all out to keep it close. Our best guy at 125 (Robinson ) may be back tomorrow after a month long injury absence.
We have more holes in our lineup compared to last year, mostly due to two multi year starters (Arrington and Jack) redshirting this year. They’d be ranked in the 3-8 range nationally.
Our make a wish ceiling tomorrow is probably 5 matches, (125,133, 157, 184 , 285).. the floor is zero. I’m think we leave with around 10 team points. I met several of your wrestlers at the dual in Raleigh last year. Good dudes.

The News press article today hinted that McComas would get the nod at 133. It also printed that Hughes was injured but also quoted a coach that one of the 133s couldn't make weight last week.
The article also had some good quotes from Sprately and Jamison. Jamison compared being coached by JS and DT. Nothing negative but an interesting comparison.

That’s def a make a wish scenario haha!

25,84 and 285 are all ranked top 3 and behind generational talents at one weight, two bonafide greats at 84 and a 141 pounder that can get to 25 at the last one.

Honestly, I hope it’s a highly contested dual that has OSU winning 10 matches.

It would be great if someone can pull it together at 133. If Crookham is indeed out, this weight is WIDE open.
