The officials are letting Houston MUG the Gators on defense. If I’m UF’s coach I go ballistic the next time a foul is called on the Gators on defense, if nothing else to remind them that Houston can’t play football when guarding his team.

one thing about florida, they’ve been down in this tournament several times and won. it’s hard to beat teams that have that going.
reminds me of utah against kentucky. it just felt like if we got out running even a little we’d break out, and finally did. the only difference is houston is the team that tires you out.

Obvious goaltending non-call for the gators. Not sure if they can review that, but they absolutely should and award 2 points to Houston. Also led to a 3-pointer for FL.
Yep, FL has had trouble stopping UH’s inside game.

they’ve won a lot of games the last few years holding a 1-2 possession lead throughout. it’s ridiculous, but it’s literally what they do.

One is a rules infraction (goaltending) and the other is ref’s failure to see if toe was on the line or not. Sorry, not a good answer.
You can only review it if it was called goaltending on the floor. Can't review no-calls.

UF had only 1 foul in the entire first half. If they don't crank it up a notch or three, the next Gator whistle might be in their first exhibition game in Sept 2025.

UH’s mindset based on Coach’s mindset. That’s not Pope’s baileywick (hard *** toughness). Not many coaches can match Sampson’s intensive coaching on defense. He has athletes with length and determination.
