I just like the defense from Michigan State and hopefully enough offense to get it done.

You? Post it here

I'm going to homer out and pick michigan state as well. I like their all around game better than the others.
All the good Catholics (I'm a so/so one, so not a rip) and supporters should go for MSU - just look at the high schools listed for their players (22 v. 9 for Bama, 6 for Oklahoma, and 5 for Clemson).

FWIW, they have the lowest rated offense, defense, and special teams of the top four, in terms of advanced stats (S&P+ Overall). The three other squads are the top three in both offense (MSU is 9th), and defense (MSU is 5th), and they rank 108th in special teams. Sparty is arguably the worst special teams team in winning, Power 5 football.

That said, I am not person with a advanced stats lean, I just noted this and found it cool. If Sparty does win, it's a slap in the face of advanced stats.

Tide over Clemson -- by 14 or more.
Clemson may have a tougher time than usual getting there with three of their players suspended for failing a drug test. Deon Cain is the biggest loss. He is the second leading receiver on the team with 34 catches, 582 yards and 5 TDs. However, he is being replaced by senior Charone Peake who had 40 catches for 563 yards and 5TDs as well.

The senior kicker Ammon Lakip was suspended as well. But he lost his job before the season and was suspended for three games after an arrest for cocaine possession. He was going to handle kickoffs and extra points.

The other was reserve tight end Jay McCollough who had no catches this season.

On second thought, maybe it won't be so hard for them.

Personally I don't believe MSU belongs in this class. But the games have to be played and we will see. I like Alabama to win it all.

Peake has awful hands though. Cain was the team's second most reliable target, behind Artavis Scott, and was their best deep threat by like 3 yards per catch. After losing Mike Williams early, Cain was a nice surprise. If Peake cannot catch the ball again in a big game, the lone big target is TE Jordan Leggett. He's good, and their best red-zone receiver, but still not the deep threat of Mr. Ganja... I mean Cain...

For all the Iowa apologists - shhhh. Stanford is Maine Southing the Hawks

Bama role tides all. Bama over Clemson 34-14.
Bama does what they do, wear down Clemson in the
2nd half run away with it. Clemson has not seen a D-line like Bama. Big and nasty.

And Bama traditionally struggles mightily against spread offenses - Mississippi, Ohio State to name a couple.

I didn't buy Clemson but Deshaun Watson will be the best player Alabama has faced this year - not even close.

I think this will be a better game team most expect

Agree Newt

I really didn't know what to expect with Bama MS game. I thought Bama would win but told everyone I talked to it may be a close game but if it's a blowout Bama wins big. I fee the same way with this game. The only way Bama loses is a close game. If it's a blowout it's again Bama in the 2nd half. I doubt Bama loses like like last year against the Buckeyes. I just don't see that happening with that front 4 and linebackers.

How many of you guys accurately predicted the winners of the two preliminary games? HMMMMM?

Was I the only one? Imagine that. Someone who uses AOL and posts scores too frequently outdid the technology police.

I don't expect much offense in this game and it's not because they'll be playing bad offensively, I just think these defenses are going to smack each other around. It's going to be great.
