I wonder if they could go

141: Hughes
149: Tagen
157: Swiderski.

Only negative is you’d push Teague out of the lineup.
I watched a match in the summer of 2021 where Tagen wrestled and beat Casey in the finals 5 to 2. Close match with Tagen ahead 3 to 2 and scored a last second take down off his own shot. Casey Swiderski beat Mendez 10 to 4 in a Super bout after states in 2022 their senior years. He had 3 takedowns to 0. Swiderski might recognize a lack of development and want that to change?

Brining in Swiderski tells me that they like Jaminson at 141 and I believe DT really likes what he sees in Teague so Young will be out and if Hughes cant figure out how to make 133 then he will be out too.

133. Hughes or Sakamoto
141. Jamison
149. Swiderski
157. Travis
165. Lockett

I’ve been told that the cut for Jamison was harder than it appeared this year. Hinted that maybe he didn’t make it as easy on himself but that’s speculation. So I was fully prepared for him to go 149. Definitely have a hard time seeing Casey stay down at 141. Thought he looked too big there 2 years ago.

So is the only starting spot we are currently looking to fill via portal at 174? Possibly Facundo and done?

We are taking applications for a specific type of Wrestler. No matter what weight!

Committed to the system, scoring and being the best Wrestler they can be.

If you want to party, that is a problem. If you want to hang out and win matches in OT, that is a problem. If you want to cut weight/nutrition poorly, that is a problem. If you don't want to be a National Champ, that is a problem.

Jordan Williams and Nasir Bailey entered the portal. Thats a huge hit to Little Rock. They are probably going after the money.
Schools like Little Rock are going to be depressing to coach at. Big time kids it appears will leave more often than not. Although we are on opposite side of the coin of the portal in wrestling…..:)

Jordan Williams was given a 2nd chance by a school that did not have to give it to him, and this is how he says thank you? Absolutely ridiculous in my eyes. The NCAA needs to put a limit on transferring. How people can transfer year after year from school to school is absurd.

Jordan Williams needs to do what is best for him and his family. Tough for Little Rock wrestling. I looked at the Flo article and there are lots of Little Rock guys transferring. I have never been in Jordan Williams shoes and will not tell him what to do.

Bailey could go 141 tho. I’ve seen a lot of rumors that the cut to 133 is tough for him.

They could go
133: Ayala
141: Bailey
149: Williams.

You’re right tho Mizzou makes a lot of sense too.
Maybe I am mistaken but while Bailey looks like a BIG 133, I don’t know if he has the length to be super effective at 141. He’s a pretty stocky kid, isn’t he?

Yup. I think Jordan wrestled hard and wrestled well for LR this year. That is the best thank you he could've given the program

Yeah it is, considering he let a guy go this year that would've been a starter and had high AA talent
There is a tiered punishment system, he’ll be completely aware of with no tolerance for deviation. The expectation will be to make the lifestyle change and total commitment to wrestling and tune out all other distractions. Everyone will know what is expected going in and if the plan isn’t followed, he will be gone.
