A transfer to Michigan is always a surprise.
I think Yara Slavikouski was all but a done deal there a year ago before Lucas Davison was on the market and they kicked him to the curb.
Then they tried recruiting him again before Hendrickson hit the market and he was basically like not doing this again. Glad to see the guy have pride in himself, he’s an All American and too good to get jerked around like that.

Ben Davino just beat Nic Bouzakis by a take down in the finals at the Clarion. I don’t see how Tom Ryan doesn’t start Ben at 133.
With Vince already being rumored as a decommit from Ohio St… both Bouzakis bros will probably be on the market before long.

He ain't demotivated. He just sucks at wrestling. Refused to evolve past Tulsa Nationals pee-wee package of wrestling moves and finishes.
This is good for Hopke. He can definitely learn a lot in his redshirt freshman year from Gable. I wonder if he gets back into the international scene.

Absolutely would be. I am curious to see these top HWT's against him this season. Especially Kerk, Feldman, and Hendrickson.
I have a hunch that Gable won't be as dominant. Those three are very good and he hasn't focused on wrestling. It'll be fun for sure.

I should've wrote competed unattached. Some were confused and thought he was gonna technically wrestle for 2 schools in 1 season. Him being a grad transfer allows him to transfer at the semester and compete. I like it good for him
I was kinda wondering if he was transferring when I saw he was redshirting this year. I’m going to speak him coming to OSU into existence.
Idk any stories but he wrestled at 184 this year at clarion and Cleveland st opens.
Ohio state has a log jam at 184 with now Welsh, Shumate, and Rogotzke. Would think Welsh easily has the nod there or 174 if he wanted but maybe that’s not what happened. Kharchla is starting at 174.
they were talking about this a bit on the Penn State board and someone said that he wanted to go at 174 this year but Ryan made him redshirt so he could start Kharchla one last time. But now Kharchla is apparently injured and that’s what caused all this.
If true then it would seem he can still make 174.
I mean I’ll take him at either haha but that’s interesting that if Welsh wanted 174 as a returning finalist they would put Kharchla in who is 6-5 at ncaas. Not sure I would buy that logic and if that is true I wouldn’t blame him for looking elsewhere.
I thought Dee Lockett will be our 174 next year if he puts on weight. We thinking Lockett 165, Rocco 174, Thomson (Or someone else from portal) 184?
I personally always prefer a redshirt. Regardless of how good the kid is. Big gap after a year in the room. Not sure I’m locking Thompson into any spot until we see a big difference either.
They may be doing what we kinda wanted OSU to do with Plott at 184. Redshirt and let those older guys clear out, and come back another year more developed where you’re in position to be top dog.
Has he visited anywhere else? When did he make this visit to Stillwater? So what weight does he end up at next season? 174 or 184? Could be a huge pick up for OK State, especially with him having three years eligibility left.

Maybe they could stagger redshirts a little bit? Have Dee go at 165 next year and redshirt Routledge then redshirt Dee the next year and bulk him up to 174 and start Kody?
