I guess he technically hasn’t drove drunk or ran red lights in Oklahoma, so he shows up with a clean slate? He’d better rent a house that’s walking distance from GIA if he’s gonna come to OSU😂

Alex Facundo is in the portal for 165/174. I'm thinking Michigan or ISU. Has two years of eligibility

How good is Facundo? I think I remember him being highly recruited, but it doesn't seem like he has done much at PSU.

He only had one postseason at PSU and went 0-2. He has been very good in freestyle during his time at PSU
He absolutely murdered Haines in fs last spring or summer, may have also beaten Messenbrink but not certain. Clearly he wasn't beating them in the room at folk.

He's way, way better than OK and would be exactly what we need next to Lockett.

He did go 0 and 2 at nationals and those wins you are talking about are in freestyle right? Is there clear evidence that he has all American potential in folkstyle? I'm not saying there is not but what is it?

Do you think you know better than three coaches that were in the room with a wrestler if he is good enough to be on our team? What would parents who check out the message board and we are discussing negatively their child. I do not know whom we are recruiting for sure, but it gets harder to get recruits with these comments.

I generally know more than coaches but can’t speak for all the posters.

The comments about somebody being "not good enough" or some other defect make it so much harder. I have confidence in our coaches especially on kids they know very well. Speculation is great, but the negative comments about kids we want to recruit could make it harder to recruit them. We all want the same thing and some comments are making it harder. Speculation is fun, but gossip is not positive.

I find it hard to believe that a family wouldn't let their son come and wrestle for DT at OSU bc they saw some frustrated fans say something negative on an online board.

Totally get what you’re saying but I think you’re blowing it a little out of proportion is all. Talking crap is one thing. Saying he may not find a starting spot or even talking about someone’s public criminal record is different.

You are probably correct, but I have committed to some serious money for NIL and I really do not like the idea of gossips hurting our chances of quality transfers. It is like when an employee does something to raise my operating expenses for the benefit of their egos.
This is the most tame board I have prob ever read. I imagine you go and read any schools sports board after a loss and you will see 10x worse. Recruits and families aren’t basing anything off anonymous message board posters. 99% of them don’t read boards and for good reason

You should use some of that money to buy a pair of panties that don't bunch up so bad.

I saw a poster on a Texas board call one of their own players a “fat worthless ******” after we beat them one time.

This isn’t true in my experience. A lot of friends and family keep an eye on things. They’re usually excited and want to see what convos are being had

I doubt they are hopping in the board after their kin drops some match. Point is it’s not any different from any other sports boards.

Anyone else feel like AJ’s camp told him to try and say all the right things this weekend to try and change how people view him? I think he wants to clean up his act to try and get big NIL money from a big program. I still think he is a head case but he wants to be paid big.
1000%. Maybe I’m cynical but it all came across as bad acting to me.
