So I guess this is a pickle for school and players to decide. Anyone know what WVU plans on doing with Battle? My gut says that he will remain out, but I am just guessing.

My guess is he plays. If you’re WVU, do you want him to sit out all year just to leave?

If you’re him, do you want to sit out all year when you can just go pro (international)?

Not to mention, he would certainly be a boost for the team even if only for 3 games.

We'll know tomorrow. Before the NCAA's release today, both Battle and Farrakhan were expected to play but now it's a more difficult decision.

I usually keep my opinion on the NCAA private but this really pisses me off. And it isn't just because my beloved school is on the front line.

When did they say this? Cause a day ago the judge said differently. Who is right who is wrong?

Best bet for Battle is to sue the NCAA for millions.

Trust your gut cause it's probably correct.

The NCAA told them yesterday that if the two week injunction gets overturned, then any transfer competing will lose a year of eligibility. Pretty petty BS. I'm not sure why the NCAA has a hard on against wvu. To my knowledge, they've never done anything to them. I get Michigan though, since Harbaugh likes to troll them and call them out a few times a year.

WVU is not a major factor in the NCAA’s cash cow A.K.A. the NCAA basketball tournament. UNC, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky to name few are the brands they want to keep happy and healthy for their bottom line.

The rest of us are just here to wipe their feet on. I always go back to Marshals Rick Huckabey (sp) when he gave his players a sweat suit, a necklace and some spending money for food because the dorm / cafeteria closed down during Christmas break. But down Tobacco Road UNC and Duke are throwing out anything they want, cars, apartments, hookers, etc. Huckabey is fired and banned from coaching NCAA for 5 years. Ferret Face Coach K gets another top seed and favorable regional location.

wonder if those demigods at the NCAA hold a grudge against WVU since Shawne Alston's name headlines the class action SCOTUS decision on NIL? they are humans, and we are all flawed.

NCAA doesn't understand this is the end. They will lose all power they had and will be nothing but what they were intended to be.

The major players somewhere in neighborhood of 24 to 40 teams will begin their own organization to be run by a commissioner. The mini NFL.

I think a couple of double-transfers have already played since the court decision, so that puts the NCAA on the spot to carry through with their threat. Everyone should give the NCAA the big middle finger by suiting up and hitting the hardwood.

According to ESPN tonight, the schools and the NCAA are jointly asking the court to extend the restraining order, and to change it to a temporary injunction.
