NCAA Selection Process tutorial

Apparently, the NCAA is putting out a 4-part series on how they do the Selection, Seeding and Bracketing of the Tournament. This is week one.

STEP 1: Is this school a P5 or not, if so go immediately to Step 2, if not go to step 1A
1A: Does the team have 20 wins? If so go to step 1B. If not, go home
1B: Does the team have a win over a P5 on the road or neutral site? If yes, go to 1C, if not go home
1C: Is the P5 team going to make the tourney? If yes, go to 1D. If not, go home
1D: Will putting this non P5 in the field keep a P5 out? If yes, go home, if no, proceed to step 2
