NCAA tournament scheduling

I have been wondering about the Thursday/Saturday or Friday/Sunday scheduling of the tournament. Duke played on Thursday/Saturday last week, with UNC on the same schedule, but this week we are on the same schedule while they get the Friday/Sunday tilt. Does anyone know the process of how this is decided on?

It's all pre-determined....meaning, for example, the games last weekend in Raleigh were Thursday/Saturday, but the East Regional dates for this year are Friday/Sunday.

Obviously this is a biggie in the grand scheme of things, but it really has no bearing as to who plays on what day. That's pre-determined by the sites and basically comes down to what pod you're placed in the first weekend and what regional your'e in for the tournament. The West and South regionals were always going to be played Thursday/Saturday, with the Midwest and South on Friday/Sunday.
