TCU wins in a mild upset over Ohio State. Miami of OH handled SMU in the first four game. BTW all 4 first four games were pretty good basketball games.

High Point about to be the 12/5 upset over Wisconsin.

Siena leads Duke by 11 at the half. My prediction for this one is 3 Siena players foul out before the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half because there is no way in hell the NCAA and the officials allow this upset to happen.

I can’t pronounce any Illinois players names. All the names seem to end in “ vich”

High Point coach called out the power conferences and the BS that is the NET rating. Said if they could get more neutral court games against the power schools and a home game or two people would find out who the best teams are but he mentioned a few schools and none of the schools could get games against anyone in the upper tier. Apparently High Point won 22 of 5their last 23 and as he said “we didn’t move up a single spot in any metric”.

It’s definitely a flawed system.

Interesting fact….High Point played UAB this season. Lost by 17.

Is the system flawed…yes. Did they go 0-2 in Quad 2 games…yes. They also played 16-16 Southern Illinois….and lost. The math in the current system doesn’t work when you play 22 Quad 4 games and go 0-2 in Quad 2. Maybe Konkol will bring these guys in next season.

How many of these as semi-pro players have every played this long into a season? What I see, is the coaches who didn't rest their teams getting beat out or nearly beat put by coaches that did. In my opinion

Every team except the lowest tier has “semi-pro” players including TU.

The tourney is boring.

Let the P4 have their own tourney.

The system is junk now.

I won't watch.

Utah State is one of the fun teams to watch. I thought Kentucky was going down with their 22M NIL. Santa Clara nearly got them.

You’re missing a lot of good high quality basketball.
I cannot generate much attention for sports without a rooting interest. No affiliations other than TU so pulling for the small school underdogs is all I have to work with. "Good basketball" in and of itself doesn't pull me away from a true crime show or reading or web surfing.

With Tulsa not playing it’s not worth watching Tu or nothing.

Do you and Liberty feel the same way toward all sports? College and NFL football. Baseball, hockey, nba, PGA (no TU players), etc..

I’m watching the NCAA wrestling semi finals tonight btw. If you’re a wrestling fan it’s been fantastic

If I was an OSU fan, I would agree with every one of your posts in this thread. As a TU fan, I agree much more with Drboobay.

Why is that? OSU has pretty much sucked in basketball for the last 20 years. They’re not spending at the P4 level in basketball

I do. Need to find a rooting interest. I have built one for FC Tulsa lately. I have also had one for the US Men's National Team.

The only exceptions I can think of are that I make a point to watch the Super Bowl and quite a bit of the World Cup. Zero baseball, hockey, NBA, tennis, golf, etc. Zero.

It was different back when I was a teenager and in my 20s. But for decades now I have felt this way.

Which, I am not disputing... Just calling them what they are. So I confused at your reaponse
You seem to have a negative opinion of college basketball players who are taking NIL including TUs. Don’t blame the players blame the system which resulted in the current mess

But, OSU is a power conference school. You said the big schools winning equals “quality basketball “. You countered the High Point coach’s comments by again referencing the quad system. That’s an OSU/power conference perspective. I was thrilled he called out power schools for refusing to play them. I will admit that If several of TU’s fellow conference teams were playing in the NCAA tournament, it would be more interesting for me.

Unfortunately, I consider TU to be part of the underdog schools today. This NIL/transfer portal neutering of the smaller schools is very bad news for college basketball, in my opinion.

BTW, OSU has always been a wrestling school, TU has never had wrestling.

I’m just being honest Lawpoke, one of my best friends is a diehard OSU fan. Your posts remind me of his comments a lot. The big difference is you are a TU fan & he is not. I just think being a fan of both OSU & TU leads you to view things from a different perspective than some of us. You’re probably much more objective, while some of us can’t see anything other than through blue & gold glasses.
