Just saw this from the Governor of Ohio.
Games in Dayton Tuesday and first round games in Cleveland, could be interesting moving forward

So move the games to an outdoor stadium and they're golden. Personally, I think the players and coaches can make their own decisions. If they're worried, don't play.

This is getting out of hand.. if it’s THAT bad, why are they allowing people to go to work - especially people who work with the public.

7,000 people work at the plant I’m at. We are WIDE open. Of course it is a big topic, but no impact to us yet

If they plan to play without fans in attendance they may as well just cancel it. It will turn into a glorified scrimmage in my opinion.

I'm 50/50 on it. I see the point of what they want to do and try to protect it from spreading as much as possible, like fighting a wild fire you'd much rather the forecast be rain than windy.

Per CDC:

Regular flu deaths: 12k
Corona deaths: 31

Why so petrified of a virus which the cure is sit at home & wait until it passes. Corona doesn’t make people bleed from the eyes.

Heck, at that rate it’s saving lives. Less travel, less catching other diseases by isolating yourself, less activity means less accidents. Saving countless lives.

To early to tell tbh....rather be safe than sorry imho.

If it turns out to be like a normal flu and vaccine is coming I’ll be elated. Right now we just don’t know.

I had plans to travel to ACC tourney from south florida and cancelled them. I also have two trips to Disney planned in next 60 days....will cancel those to the fall til we know more about the virus, how deadly etc. Right now we are not getting accurate info because not everyone is getting tested. I’m not super young (will be 50 in about 3 months) so not super old either..:just old enough to pay attention stuff a little more. I think our guys would play well in packed house or in empty arena...they have the GOAT coaching them!!

Do we see the NIT follow suit? Or at least come up with a way of limiting public access to their games? What will the NCAA do? If this is serious enough to be called a global health pandemic, then maybe we put peoples lives ahead of sports. If it truly is as serious as WHO is saying. Personally, I see things going on as normal. However, I do think that we could see public access limited in tournament games moving forward. Already happening in Ohio this week and the next. The amount of revenue about to be lost is going to be catastrophic for many every day average folks out there.

I live in Dayton. I work as an IT guy for the University of Dayton. Just getting the news that there won’t be any fans here for the first 4 is kind of sickening. I work at the arena a ton, and most of the work is for the first 4. I’m actually typing this while I’m testing fiber for CBS in the arena lol but it just sucks. It’s such a big deal for our area.

There is supposedly a leak today from a major conference that there is some talk of cancelling the NCAA tourney all together.
