I'm thinking 4 seed right now but if Duke makes a decent run in the ACC tournament then a three seed could be possible.

More goes into it than just what Duke has done or will do this week. If other teams make a run, Duke could fall off the 4 line if they get bounced early in the ACCT. Could work the opposite way, and if one or two teams ahead of us in the seeding get bounced early in their conference tourney.

I think they end up a 4 seed. Don't think the committee drops them any lower. If anything, they get a 3 and not a 5.

I think the game tomorrow will have a huge affect on seeding. I think we will fall somewhere in the 6th to 8 seed if Duke loses against a very hungry Clemson team that is still playing for something. Going into the big dance losing 4 out of the last 5 and a total of 9 losses could really be a big blow for seeding. Duke needs to win tomorrow to avoid a potential 1st round game with a team more than capable of wiping the floor with our hind ends.

I was really hoping to see Duke in Greenville this year. No #1 seed so I doubt it. I have free tickets to boot, ugh!

Hope we aren't in Greenville. It'll be a road game if we are. Everyone in the arena will be cheering against us.

I watched us play in Greenville last year when littlejohn was being re-done. Quite a few Duke fans there!

Duke isn't dropping to six seed, let alone an eight. I'd say three, four or five.....with five being the absolute lowest. A two isn't completely out of the equation were we to beat Louisville, UNC and FSU to win the ACCT. And fwiw, I don't think that happens....just pointing it out.

^agree. We get a 2 if we win the ACCT. We get at worst a 4 if we win tomorrow. I personally think we end up a 3.
It would also keep UNC from getting a 1 seed if we win the tourney. The committee would have to slide UNC to a 2 and put us as the stronger 2 seed.
We would have 3 extra quality wins (Louisville, UNC, and ND/FSU/UVA) and UNC would have only UM or Cuse.

I'm not sure Holes won't get a 1 anyway, unless they lose Thursday night.

Kansas and Gonzaga are locks for a 1 seed. And Villanova is very likely to get a 1 seed. A 3 loss UCLA, or 4 loss Oregon/Arizona as the Pac 12 Champ would definitely be a stronger case than a UNC team which lost in the semis to Duke or Louisville.

If Louisville wins the ACCT, how are they not going to be slotted ahead of UNC? They would've just beat them on a neutral court. I think UNC has to get to the champ game to get that one seed.

The 'experts' have the Holes, Kansas, Villanova and Gonzaga. Like them or not, coming from arguably toughest conference in country and being who they are is reason they will be a 1. Slim chance they're not, which would mean losing tomorrow. Personally I think Gonzaga should be a 2, but I think they'll take Pac 12 winner and put as 2 in same region as Zags. Duke could get to a 2, but would have to win tournament. Just my take

Yeah, it's hard for me to envision one of those four falling off the 1-line. UNC would be the most likely, IMO, but I think it would take them losing in the quarters tomorrow and then a Louisville or UCLA going the distance in their conference tournaments. Even then, I still think UNC would be in good shape. I guess we'll find out Sunday night.

Also, I'd agree that you will see Oregon or UCLA (maybe Arizona) be a two seed out west. It only makes sense.
