We got the phone call so my bet is US !The FBI is dragging this out long enough for all the other offending programs to eliminate the evidence.
Now it's the NCAA's turn to show how angry they are at their college basketball cash cows by destroying one or two. Looks like Arizona is up first, then all bets are off regarding who's next.
Probably spot on. I sure wouldn't want to bet on it not being us.We got the phone call so my bet is US !
That's the issue. Instead of dropping this on EVERYONE once the investigation was over - the FBI staggeres the investigation and IMO that gave the other programs out there who are/were buying players the time to shore things up in order to keep from getting stung. I wonder why that is$$$$$$??There's nothing suggesting that ANY of this stuff is over. I'd argue it's just getting started...
Based on?There's nothing suggesting that ANY of this stuff is over. I'd argue it's just getting started...
There was a lot of evidence introduced at these trials that implicates other people besides the ones on trial. Head coaches noticeably, and even college football. We have no idea what evidence the FBI has in their possession nor their plans to pursue prosecution, deal cutting, and yet more evidence. The FBI investigation, as the trials conclude, didn't really bring much fallout, nationally. When the news of their investigation first broke, everyone was like Here. We. Go. Turns out a few dudes we've never heard of, other than Gatto and Persons, committed some low level white collar crimes and will serve very little time. Everyone knows how the game is played. Players have been getting paid for decades. College basketball is historically scandal ridden. We knew that already. The FBI did nothing of consequence. If McGee hadn't fu**ed things up, Pitino would likely still be the HC.
