NCAA Trophies - Questions

I started a thread on this in Rafters but it got quickly buried since it was on game day. I recently acquired some NCAA Trophies (reproduction of course) from the estate of someone that worked with/for Tubby and Pitino. I believe the 1996 and 1998 ones, at least, he received directly after the titles were won.

I'm curious if anyone on here knows anything about them? Maybe who got trophies like this and how many exist?

I like the urn look of the older trophies. Could have raised the stakes and cremated the losing team and placed the ashes in there. A real winner takes all event.
