''The NCAA has dropped the ball by holding off on the ruling for South Carolina's Rahsul Faison.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are still waiting for a ruling on a request for an extra year of eligibility for running back Rahsul Faison. There was a thought that a ruling would occur on Wednesday, but not news came out, which means the Gamecocks and Faison are still waiting with almost 50 days left until kickoff.''

Shades of many others we have had in this situation. Hate to be pessimistic but I can`t recall "the Clearinghouse" ever ruling in our players` favor. With all all of the money and extra years being handed out this makes zero sense to me.

We normally get burned by athletic student housing issues, taking kids to their tutoring sessions, etc. Seems like other teams get away with bloody murder.

After five years removed from HS it’s time to get a dang job.
You didn't know? College Football player is a job now. Just kidding. However, if you look at his history, it seems that he is entitled to another year. He has only played 2 of the 5. A Covid Year is sprinkled in there. If that guy from Miami got to play in Year 9 due to injuries, this guy should be able to play. If not, I think he is good enough to get a look from several NFL teams.

Fall camp is starting up here in the next few days so a ruling has to be coming soon you would think.
