I have a feeling Duke is going to excel at making sure our athletes maximize their earning potential while in school. It is going to be interesting

Yep, with the Duke branding, the BrotherHood, incredible exposure, etc., Duke will definitely be one of, if not the top consideration, for the big dogs to promote their own branding and money making opportunities. The future is so bright, K gotta wear shades.

Everybody realizes these kids are already getting paid, right? UCLA is paying $40k a year in “meals” per player. Imagine what Duke, UK, ect are paying. These kids are not starving. This is just going to open up a whole new bag of shadiness amongst agents, Nike, Adidas.

I wonder if this will change things down in cheater hill? Will hof coach roy williams simplify his complicated system and stop turning down so many 5 star prospects? If he does are the rest of the NCAA top programs in trouble and will have to fight for the leftovers? OFC

I mean...this is a win for the blue bloods and programs with deep pockets, carolina included unfortunately. Although these big name recruits have to start getting skeptical of their 1 and done futures with ole roy around.

We really are top notch with our branding and social media. We are going to see programs with whole departments that do this. I think it is great because there really was no other move short of paying the players directly with the leverage the NBA has

seems to be really nice news, I don't know why you're so skeptical. To tell you the truth, everyone earns money as he can. I personally discovered an article on yourmoneygeek.com and it brings me so much joy to take online surveys and be paid for it. I prefer to choose a topic that suits me and which one I am well-informed in and help the company with the answers of the survey. So, remember the thing that everyone earns money on what he/she are good at.

Or, since the kids are now able to get a piece of the pie and not be cut out of the money that they help generate, it might cut down on the shadiness.

since when did Roy turn down five stars? His problem was that they did not want to play for him. Given how high profile UNC is, they might see the Tar Heels now as a better option.

This will really help Duke which allows its top freshman to have the spotlight. I can't imagine why a top rated freshman would want to go to UNX, sit on the bench, or share PT with 9 others. Better off at Ohio State, or UCLA, or maybe Florida where they would have the spotlight.
