Well I don't think you can put all those students in Tarboro. NCDPI in 2020 has Tarboro @ 509 the early college ( and it has to be one operated by the county) is 195 students but which district are the from? Edgecombe county has 3 high schools so not all 195 would be in Tarboro district and as far as football I it didn't break down how many was boys & girls but if a boy wanted to play football if the county if it allows I don't believe all do he would have to fill out the forms get the early college principal to sign off.
I'd like to know really how many schools can say they have a significant number or any as far as that goes early college players on their football team.
Is there not a Prep school in Tarboro as well? Either way I didn’t look up any numbers. I was just broad stroking the current situation. Its not as simple as he was making it out to be. There is some advantages inside the 500 number for Tarboro, like many other schools and the majority of the top ten posted. I do agree with BK that schools should be aligned somehow by the numbers inside their district. Do this and athletes wouldn’t have to choose between sports and early college. They could play ball and get the higher level classes if they choose.

Well a lot of posting about the playoff format but to me my biggest issue was with the realignment format, I believe it should have stayed just based on ADM instead of adding 25% 3 year average of DPI and 25% 3 year average of Wells Fargo cup points which is from what I've read what got Polk their wells Fargo average was higher then Mtn Heritage who has the same ADM#.
On the other side @ 534 East Carteret shouldn't be in 2A .
I still haven't figured out what Wells Fargo cup and DPI has to do with what classification your in.
Yeah that’s the reason for us being moved up a classification..... makes zero sense to me. I don’t like Polk being in 2a personally

In trying to get out of these split conferences , I would have like to have kept Polk in 1A then moved Owen & Madison in the 2A conference that Polk is in now and we'd had a 6 team 1A conference.

I went on NC schools report card from the DPI they do have a I guess what you'd call a prep school Martin Millennium Academy listed but it's only k-8.
Of course a Tarboro fan would know more about it then me, I'm just going by what the DPI has listed.

What about parochial schools??
Did you see the article or on local tv October 18th were Butler high cheerleaders had to apologize to Charlotte Catholic for their sign ?
.."snif snif you smell that? Privilege"
Some took it as calling them rich kids , but I took as referring to what some feel as their advantage in sports. Not sure how they meant it.

Yes, I know there is only 1 in 1A but would Bishop really get moved up a class? Yes, Catholic & Gibbons are 4A but large student body.

This is the Top 10 on Simmons ratings for 1A with last years ADMs..I only see 3 outliers so why is it unfair to only have 1 division?

Lots of talk about the 25% thing or 30% thing for realignment. That has proven to be a fail already. It puts small schools on more populated parts of the state in conferences with much bigger schools. ER and Thomasville are examples. An alignment like that doesn't impact the mountain and beach counties like it does the Piedmont, Charlotte, Raliegh area. State needs to change to a 1A-5A look and keep schools closer to ADM's in brackets. 300 vs. 600 ADM is alot as is 600 vs. 1000 kids.
