Heritage will most definitely go small, they are one of the smallest 2a teams in the state

I have to disagree. The key to EB is their defense. I stated last year that Clinton's 2016 defense was the best I had ever seen. I think this years EB defense is equal to that.
i am an East Duplin fan and WRH is one of our bitter rivals, so naturally i despise them from a sports perspective. but i can tell you that if Shelby plays them they better have a very good team this year. i hate to admit it, but WRH is loaded this year, same as us.
I've followed both teams, peeped the scores after each game, they're both very impressive so far, no doubt.
Mt Heritage is a good football team that just does not have the athletes to go deep in the playoffs most years. They have a very good QB that runs that counter run offense nicely.
....and they wont for awhile 96.....Its always like this because the Loris game doesn't figure into their system...
If we win Friday night they should take notice....but in the scheme of things this poll means nothing...
Agreed Chipshot, polls are what they are. Playoff wins are the only thing that count.
Ah Lion my old friend,,,I told you I moved down here to keep track of these eastern teams for all my teams back west...lol...I have got to say of all the teams I have seen down here so far,a game between Shelby and WRH would be awesome...I will be checking out Duplin next to see if they can handle the speed of the Bulldogs...make sure your guys drop 50 on South Point,maybe that way they will go hide till playoffs...lol
keep in mind while watching ED that our best back has missed the last two games, and will probably miss tonight too because of a sprained ankle. he should be back next week for the WRH game. he had over 1800 yds rushing and 34 TD's last season. we will need him if we are to have a decent chance at beating WRH.
I cant wait...really enjoying the football down here...it will be my first time seeing you guys play
now that we took care of business last night, we prepare for war at the Dogpound! should be a great game!
It's looks like that sometime, when you've played nothing but tough 3A competition, no 2A team yet.

This westerner in definitely interested in that WRH vs ED game next week. Give as all your prediction at some point.
I remember back in 2009 when East Duplin was pounding their chest, they were undefeated and thought they were the best 2a team in the state and lost in the 2nd round to Kinston. The east was actually really tough that year. That's the toughest I remember it being.
It does seem like whoever comes out the east this year we will have a competitive state championship.
i give you guys credit. you have been absolutely dominant the last few years. but as you know all good things have to come to an end. will it be this year? who knows?

Shelby is a beast. One of the best programs in the state, but this years team doesn't appear to be as strong as years past.
Shelby has played 3 county rivalry games out of 5 games , everyone knows how rivalry games are , unpredictable and sometimes the best team don't always win . I would challenge any other 2A school to take on our schedule and see if they come out at 5 -0 . Shelby will be just fine once we hit our 2A games ( except maybe South Point) . Once playoffs comes around , Shelby will roll !
I'm laughing my arse off you are a Pisgah fan we blew you guys off your field in our scrimmage, I saw you guys on t.v. we would probably beat you as bad as we beat Erwin if we played this year.

No secret here a franklin fan..we have tried to schedule y'all for several years to no avail...no doubt your QB is as good as anyone in WNC..and I'll for sure be scoreboard watching Friday night hoping you lay one on Hendersonville..i respect heritage..i just think them and franklin woulda been good for both programs..instead y'all pummel hayesville and we landed a home school program..
I had actually heard we were supposed to play Franklin in the preseason, but I guess the way our scheduling worked out we play four of 6 non conference games on the road and I'm sure the threat of having a loss going into conference wasn't worth it, at this point I'd give Franklin the slight edge over Heritage, sorry for the post I could of swore you were a Pishgah fan there was one saying the same thing on the other site, I'd love to see a Franklin Heritage match up in the future
