Here is the NCPreps.com 4A football polls for Week 5 of the 2022 high school football season.

Im confused on how theses ranking work !
Grimsley struggled terribly with Reagan , with 12 power 5 kids on there roster.They played who so far !!!!! While East Forsthy tested themselves by going to Rolesville in The 2nd game of the season . I think East needs to be respected more they the true #1 team in NC . And they beat them without there best offensive player. But hey money talks !!!

I think East Forsthy deserves more credit being #1 in NC & the way they have preformed without there best player on the field speaks volumes. Ive watched Grimsley to this year , Two totally different teams if you ask me .

I believe your having a problem with articulating your thoughts. . I think East needs to be respected more they the true #1 team in NC . (They are number 1. IJS)

We know who the #1 team is . Once again if you read what I said then you wouldnt have a issue . I simply said Ibwas wondering how the rankings work & East Forsthy deserves more credit . Now wheres your disconnect at 🤔

You look at the other states & how they get up close to the the top programs in that state example how Texas, California & Georgia does . Learning about the coaches & what goes into how they prepare there team for the up coming game . And whats wrong with just wanting to know how the ranking process works ....

Who is we? How do you get more credit than being number 1? Maybe Deana can make them Super Duper #1 :)

Your making a big deal out of this because I said they deserve more credit because they beat a good Rolesville team without there top guy & I wanna know how the ranking system works . Im a fan of high school football & if you feel some type of way thats on you...✌🏾

NO! I get inquiring about the ranking system. I don't understand how do you want more credit than being #1. How does that work? Please explain! I'm a fan of High School Football also.

All I wanted to really know is how the system works & everybody losing it why ? But its cool I see the bigger picture . Thanks for the feed back guys 🤑

I think you have been trying to say that East Forsyth is very deserving of # 1; but they get very little press, very little exposure that should go along with #1. I don't think you are a fan of Grimsley at #2 and that's perfectly understandable. I think two or 3 Charlotte teams are better than them but we let it play out here in NC.

It's hard to find many if any articles on this site or any site that gives credit to the kids and coaches at East Forsyth. If a Charlotte team was number one that's all you would see... articles about Hollywood Smothers since the 9th grade, TV exposure about Drake Maye since the 9th grade or articles about Trenton Simpson, Kevin Concepcion etc...etc...

If you aren't talking about that... I'm confused as well

As far as who votes for this poll and how it works...that is a good question.

Gibbons 2-2 and ranked #8. I have no problem with Grimsley they ok , Im just a fan trying to see how something works & Im wrong for asking . But I have watched both teams & there two different teams completely . You get my point @CPC4LIFE ..

EF has not had in the last 5 to 10 years a Trenton Simpson or Drake Maye on their roster. Also, Charlotte covers kids in Charlotte. Go figure. :D Charlotte is not responsible for covering East Forsyth. You need to take that up with the Kernersville News or WXLV-TV 45 ABC The majority of those guys, are also National recruits. Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State etc type offers. EF has a very talented team this year. How is that?

You will find the articles are often from a local newspaper high school sports department or a recruiting sites and third party college sites (Rivals, 24/7 Sports). The local guy does interest stories. The national write is doing elite recruits, and the colleges are focusing on the players their recruiting is focused on.

Drake Maye got more attention than most due to his family plus his position.

I've been following East Forsyth for 20 years and man I've never seen anything this crazy. How in the heck do you get anymore respect than being voted #1?

Well East gets their shot against Reagan to show it can do more than Grimsley. Difference is East has struggled with a power running game in the past. East may be a great top 3 team and could easily lose this game Friday in hostile territory.
