Despite the score, a pretty evenly matched game. Was decided on a few plays:

With ND up 7-0, Benet had the ball at the ND's 3 yard line. ND forced a huge fumble and recovered in the end zone for a touchback. ND scored on a 70 yard run next play (or maybe second play) to take a 14-0 lead. Huge swing.

With ND up 14-7, Benet was driving. Was 2nd and 8 or so on in the red zone. ND all out blitz that led to a 20 yard loss sack--Benet's QB just couldn't get rid of it in time. Led to a 3rd and 30 and caused a huge momentum shift.

Ty Gavin with 2 TDs and another 100+ yard effort. I think ND had close to 500 yards of offense--majority of which were some really long 50+ yard plays.

Dons have a pretty good shot at 8-1 with two playoff teams left on the schedule (MCC and JCA).

Good broadcast by Benet---except the one announcer referred to ND as the "Doms" the whole game.

Nd has honestly its best chance of doing something in the playoffs in at least 20 years.

Been touting ND's chances in 6A for weeks. This win should raise their visibility. 6A is going to be a very interesting class. C-G and Richards are looking awfully good as well.

Congrats to ND they played a good game.

For Benet things might get scary quick. Naz next week , assume a loss, maybe a big one. Then you go to Joliet trying to stave off going 3-3. Marist is last game of year.

They have Viator and Marian left which gets them to 5 wins, but with potentially no big wins on resume and a low seed makes a return trip to semis difficult.

I said all along benet hasn’t played anybody till now. JCA vs benet will be a great game.

Going 6-3, 7-2 in the ESCC has worked out well the last few years....cross your fingers you get a nice path the first couple rounds with some teams from lesser conferences and before you know it you're in the quarters. Just need to get in 7A again.

However, if you get blown out by Naz on Friday and aren't competitive, I have a very hard time believing you're better than 5-4 with a quick playoff exit. If you can play Naz tight, split with JCA/Marist and go 6-3, have to think that's a positive.

Read the game recap in the Daily Herald. Benet dominated time of possession. Had some issues in the red zone and got burned by the big play. That doesn't bode well for the Naz game. Benet usually struggles with Naz' speed, and this version of the Roadrunners has an abundance of it.
