Here we go... An opponent who's actually good. What does your team bring to the table, SWE fans?

ND has a great defense. Haven't allowed many yards, much less points this year. Our offense likes to spread the ball around to a running back, quarterback and a few WRs. Not as explosive as last year but can still hit you with a big play if you get lazy. The offensive line is good. Takes a good D to matchup with them, like ledford.

North is also known for punters and kickers, having a strong tradition in that department. Speed is our weakness and always has been...

What say you? GO BLACK KNIGHTS GO!!!

Thanks for the scouting report. As for us, I'm not telling. Lol. But I am concerned about your defense. The numbers look formidable.

Ah come on, it's just a message board lol. Nothing the coaching staffs can't see on HUDL or by sending a personal scout.

It's pretty sad when you make it to the 3rd round and you haven't even had to play. Our system is soooooo watered down. It definitely makes high school football in NC less interesting. It used to be an accomplishment to make the 3rd round. Now it just proves you can beat Abbott and Costello.

Hey boys don’t screw with the punter. Hibritens damn near won it for them last year against ed. Dang kid pinned them deep numerous times!!

So I was scrolling through through some old football playoff brackets from the 1970s... there was a school called West Edgecombe. Looks to still be standing, possibly used for lower grades these days... SWE began play in 1978. Was SWE a replacement for West, or were other schools consolidated too?

South Edgecombe High School and West Edgecombe High School consolidated to become SouthWest Edgecombe HS. South and West are now middle schools. SEHS won a state championship in basketball in the 70s and WEHS won it the very next year.

I feel like the game is going to be pretty tight. I don’t know that much about SWE. I’ll be there on Friday and watch it work itself out. Looking forward to it!

From what I've seen over the years SWE will be very physical. Lot of athletes. They will pound and pound. If their defense can keep they close they will get better as the game gets late. If they get behind big early it's probably over.

Should be a good game. I'm hoping we don't have rain and both teams are injury free in the contest. BTW It seems we are as healthy or moreso than we've been all season. Looking forward to meeting SWE fans. Last year East Duplin folks that we met were very nice indeed. GO KNIGHTS

Dont think this will be much of a game. ND bring it on back to Davidson County. ND has faced and beaten MUCH BETTER competition

ND sos 73. SWE sos 35. ND losses #10 ranked 2A team 12-1, and Davie 3-8. SWE losses #6 4A team 11-1, and #1 1A team 12-0. Best victories for both teams were against a 9 win team, ND's first game, when teams are still trying to figure themselves out, compared to it being SWE's last conference game, when teams are at their peaks. Both schedules are filled with sub par teams, but by comparison, that's an incorrect statement.

I feel we are confident but not cocky. We believe in our team, but much respect to SWE and their consistent level of play. I expect a good game and the winner will be in good position for a Regional title.

Funny how we are run down for losing to Davie but get no credit for beating Tabor. We also handled Grimsley pretty easily in a scrimmage and I believe they are still playing as well.
