ND vs SWE

Idk what has happened over the past few seasons. It used to be a packed house during the Raymond Cobb days, especially during those undefeated runs. But if J. Cobb losses 1 game, a lot jump off the bandwagon. It's like they're spoiled now, which lord only knows why any SW fans would feel like that. We have had great regular season success over the past 15 years, but like my man just said, the 3rd round...ehhhhh. Both undefeated runs have ended at home in rd 3, and several other seasons saw rd 3 as the culprit also. 2015 was the only year in this timeframe where we escaped it. I would like to think that, if we win tonight and somehow Hertford wins tonight, that all of Pinetops would come out next week to see if they make it to the ship. But idk man.
You guys are averaging giving up 5ppg. If we score a touchdown, would your guys just admit that we've figured your defense out and give up? Thanks. Lol
I am glad Coach Cobb has these guys dialed in. If they were as fickle as the fans, they would have no shot at all tonight.
I think that I'm correct in saying that only Davie and Ledford have scored a TD against first team Defense. Others were subs or special teams!

If we lose, I promise you there will be at least one injury, because I'm jumping off a bridge. This is one of the most complete and balanced SWE teams I've seen, even with more losses than past teams. Tarboro was better than us. But 4A South Central had extra men on the field in striped shirts. I'll be the first to be critical of our team, but this team is special. So if not now, when?

ND has played 2 great teams as well. Mt. Tabor is the best team ND has played this year and they won.
This years team is good but I think the 2008, 2009, and 2015 teams are the best I’ve seen seen from Southwest in recent years.

We ate lunch at Parker's Barbeque in Wilson today, and all I can say is do it. That may sound sacrilegious coming from Lexington, but eat the fried chicken if you don't get the barbeque.

This guy gets it. Lol. I lived in greensboro for a couple of years and I was not a fan of the lexington/Western style bbq. Go back to Parkers or find yourself an Abram's and take some home with ya!

I live in Wilson. Due respect, but the best barbecue is in Pitt County. Whether its Pete Jones, Sam Jones, Parkers or B's, you will fight your mama for it!
Lexington Style is a brand all its on. I'm not a fan of Western myself. work in Greensboro and these places aren't good Lexington BBQ. Lexington BBQ#1, Speedys BBQ or The Barbecue Center are all top notch.
We took some good advice and stopped in Nashville. Ate at Doug Saul’s Seafood and BBQ. Well worth the visit!

That was some excellent advice. I am rarely ever in the Nashville area, so I always forget about that place. One of the few places that does both barbecue and seafood equally well.
So a self proclaimed north “super fan” calls down to SWE this past Monday. Asks to speak to the principal in order to determine when he can get in the stadium to establish his seat in the stands. The principal who was supposedly very nice and polite told him that she wasn’t really sure how that worked because it was her first year and she hadn’t really been to any games yet.
PLEASE... someone from SWE tell me that this guy isn’t telling a true story. All three ND admins were in attendance and the AD. They left an asst AD back home in Welcome to tend to that Second rate sport we attempt to play in the winter... basketball, I think they call it.

Don’t know about the others but the North AD wasn’t there - he was at the ND v OG women’s game - I sat with him until 7:30. The call sounds about right - some ND folks try to claim their seats in the stands and on the hill Thursday night or Friday morning every home game.
I have often wondered about attendance at SWE games. If its true that the principal of the school can't be bothered to attend football games on Friday nights, no wonder the fan base stays home.
My mistake. I didn’t see him at the game, but I was under the impression that he’d be there. I’m glad he stuck around Welcome. It would have been hard to pass up the opportunity to travel to a big game.
I just wonder what a concrete pipe mogul has done to earn the right for a host team to stop what their doing and let him in an hour before everyone else. If you want in early, get a press pass or something...

Without him and many others like him, North would still be playing football on a convertible baseball field. I’ll say that much.
Easy now - I played on that convertible baseball field - corner nearest north middle essentially had no lights on it.
No idea about the administration. I have relationships with the athletic staff. If that's true, then geez. No support.
As a DB, He gets picked on in the passing game, but he usually surprises the other team's offense. Has a few ints. But your guys were just too big and tall. All of them.
Agree 100%. However, in Welcome, Rick's Smokehouse is really good!
I have been to ND HS a 100 Times + in my life, but can't place Rick's Smokehouse. Where is it in relation to school?
