The line had been creeping up towards an even 2 TDs for Nebraska, but there's been some recent movement back down and now it's at -11.5 or -11.

Vegas is predicting like a 31 - 20 game here.

Does Urban have anything to say about our new "read and react" defense?
Guess we’ll find out during the halftime or postgame talking head discussion?

Unless he breaks down film of last season, which would be interesting.

Nebraska lost a ton of talent from last year's team. I narrowed the players down to ones that played 100 snaps or more and sorted by PFF grade descending.

I'd take Thorson. Stronger arm. Better throws. Not as mobile but seemed more capable at leading the team. Maybe if Ramsey had not transferred in as a grad student, the leadership aspect might have been more even, as guys would have had a stronger bond with him.

Just my opinion.
How did a Thoreson vs. Ramsey debate suddenly break out?
Oh well, nothing against Thorson, but I would take Ramsey for the one year.

Nebraska is no longer in the elite I agree but for the love of God never put Northwestern in the same breath as Nebraska when talking bout a football program. Just stop.
See, what confuses me is how anybody would put Nebraska in Northwestern’s league. Just stop.

Does Scotty have a job when he lands?

Not trying to puff any chests. We know where we stand. Just see a lot of delusion around here that you guys will win. We’re really just trying to help people out to make the right decision. That’s Nebraska nice

I wonder if any of these Nebraska tools will show their face here again. I am sure they have all kinds of excuses. But, but, but. Rozier, Fryar and Steinkhuler aren’t walking through those doors anytime soon.

The delusion never ceases.

32 wins in the last ten years in conference, for Nebraska. (Actually, it’s 39 conference wins since joining in 2011, so we’ll give you those 39, as that marks the time you joined the B1G to prevent your increasing irrelevance. Easier to compete with fellow corn-feds instead of with Texas and Oklahoma!!)

43 for NU in the last ten years. 46 since you joined the conference.

Oh, but, Lincoln has been to six bowl games since joining the conference, winning two. Oh, but NU has been to seven, winning five.

Hmmm, but the Cornholers have won, from what I can tell, zero division titles since joining the conference. NU has won two.

As far as I can tell, Nebraska leads NU only in total head coaches, with three.

Go back to 1995, when you were last relevant. There’s this new rapper, Tupac, who’s just blowing up in Lincoln.

I bet you’ve got *great* high school football stories to share.
That’s gonna leave a mark.

Next years Nebraska coach: Urban Meyer!
Meyer's smart enough to know that Nebraska doesn't have a talent edge over any of its competitors, why go there?

Meyer'll only go to jobs where he can get loads of 4-5 stars without putting in much effort.

Disagree.

The O for so long has been an albatross around the D (needing the D to play stellar), and it's been a long time since the Cats have had a strong special teams.

If the program had an O as good as the D has usually been, would have won the B1G W sooner and wouldn't have had so many putrid seasons, along with all the bad losses.
Corbi’s post did not age well. But what else is new

I thought Nebraska looked talented and was fairly good. Northwestern was just better, particularly when it mattered most.

Teams in 2022 can't win based upon how good their program was in 1982.

They’re going to be desperate!
He won’t take that job no matter how much money they throw at him. No one can make that program into a national title contender again and without that possibility Meyer is not coming. His ego is more important to him than his wallet size at this point of his career.

This! These are probably not both really GOOD teams, but neither looked anything like BAD teams.

I will say that if the Cats can defend with more consistency like they did in the 4th Qtr, this team has the opportunity to win some games. They ran the ball EXTREMELY effectively and almost had two backs with 100 yards. And Hillinski's poise was really nice to see. Happy for that kid.

And frankly it took a bit to get that running game going. Once we did…

Yeah...I really liked the way this team responded to adversity.

Nebraska comes out and marches down the field for a touchdown. Respond. Turnover leads to getting behind by two scores in the 3rd quarter. Respond. Miss a FG to bring the game closer. Respond.

That's the kind of grit that good Fitz teams have been made of. Obviously important to grow a bunch in the next two weeks before the 2nd game, but that was solid.

I saw a really bad team play Illinois today. Wyoming's offense was pathetic. I understand they only returned 6 starters from last year. It showed. And their quarterback couldn't throw at all.

What was the final there. Last I checked Illinois was only up ~10 in the 3rd.

Swen is a really good RB, but what good is that if the rest of the offense is so inept?

My wife actually talked to Scott Frost on Friday. Said he seemed anything but stressed. Pressure not getting to him too hard, not off the field anyway. Nebraska will roll.

Until Nelson gets another sack on him..and Tannor, and Mathis...we will see how good he is Saturday.

Yes. Nebraska +320 to win the west
Northwestern +10,000
Max odds…sorry.

This board is pretty thin skinned… Quiet entertaining.

.

Crooting ranking dont take into account the portal. Nebraska has gone big into the portal, they also added (high school rankings only)

5 star - Trey Palmer
4 star - Tommi Hill
4 star - Kaine Williams
4 star - Marcus Washington
4 star - Stephen Wynn
4 star - Chubba Purdy
3 star - Casey Thompson
3 star - Ochaun Mathis
3 star - Devin Drew
2 start - Isiah Garcia Castaneda - 640 receiving yards at New Mexico St
2 star - Omar Brown - FCS All American
2 star - Brian Buschini - FCS All American/Punter of Year
UR - Bleekroad

Most of these guys are already proven players at the FBS and FCS levels. No one expect Nebraska to be a top 10 team this year. If Frost doesn't get 7-8 wins though, he should be fired.

Not trying to puff any chests. We know where we stand. Just see a lot of delusion around here that you guys will win. We’re really just trying to help people out to make the right decision. That’s Nebraska nice

I counted a total of 3 guys that were realists in acknowledging this is most likely a defeat for the Purple. Oh crap I guess I’m pounding my chest again, and am I now standing on top of a mountain?! In Ireland?! Gosh golley I need to stop
