I figure it wasn’t really a white power symbol, but that the mascot was just doing it because of how hilarious it was that everyone though it was a white power label.

In my perfect world, the white power Huskers logo disappears, but the Kentucky Wildcats penis logo comes back.
Holy crap, Rivals has the "white power" symbol available in their smilies!
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌

Rant Boarders to vaguely political threads are like bees to open coke cans, or bug zappers.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the rant board were back, or if most of the OT threads on the free board weren’t deleted?

I’m going to be a freeloader when my subscription expires in August, and it it is SLOOOOOW over here.

And the ridiculousness rolls on. There's obviously no racist intention whatsoever with their logo. If - despite that fact - you insist on choosing to see it as something that it isn't . . . . . it's YOU.
Or in this case, Nebraska’s “apparel provider and others.”

It's frustrating that...

1. there are some white supremacists who have most certainly hijacked this simple, mostly positive hand gesture.

2. there are also people who are so committed to being offended that they won't believe that this was a hand signal used in a "made you look" game at least 30-40 years ago when I was a kid, which was taught to us as kids by a friend's dad, where it had no ill intentions other than letting the person who made you look then punch you in the arm.

I would love to hear the conversation at the diner in downtown Lincoln about all this.
