Davino beat Blaze once in UTB a few years ago - with Blaze winning multiple times since then with wider gaps - but so many are still picking Davino.

We will see. Some never learn.

And don’t get me started on Cannon vs PJ.

It’s like all these young guys who have gotten better due to the passage of time, but our young guys (who constantly prove they get better when it counts under Cael) don’t get the same experience bump when comparisons are made. You’d think they’d learn
Like JD Radar saying with a straight face PJ is his 5th ranked freshman this year 😂 like dude PJ might be the most talented collegiate wrestler in the country

The Buckeyes faithful are talking themselves into believing.
We looked really mid today, but that shows we can beat the most dominant team in at least the last 30 years in college wrestling! Hilarious.

They are clear favorites at 141 only, where Mendez has looked every bit like an undefeated 2-time national champ who’s going to do it again. Otherwise, they are slight favorites at 285 (but don’t count out Cole…), Blaze vs Davino is the showcase match of the entire dual season, and Bouzakis has a pinner’s chance that gets less and less as the match goes on. That’s 4 if everything possible goes their way. Anybody thinking 149 or 157 is anywhere near a toss up isn’t paying attention. I’d guess it’s probably going to be 8-2 for us in the end.

Damn near everything came up roses for Nebraska at 2025 NCAAs.

Matty Bianchi had Antrell Taylor beat with about 15 seconds left in the 3rd period, but took an ill-advised shot that allowed Taylor to win. Taylor was also helped when Joey Blaze somehow beat Tyler Kasak on the other side of the bracket.

Another was McDanel's path to AA in the consolation bracket, where most every favorite kept getting beat.
Yeah, Nebraska peaked and overachieved at exactly the right time last year, which is a credit to them, they did it when it counted and it was fun to watch for them. But projecting forward to this year, it’s much more likely that they experience some mean reversion than they capture lightning in a bottle again.

As for Taylor specifically, I won’t say he didn’t deserve to win last year because he did win, so by definition he deserved it and no one will ever take that away from him, but again, projecting forward, he’s not a “defending champ” in the same way as someone like Mendez when looking at this year’s draws.

I expect they’ll finish 4th or 5th this year, where they should.

I've watched Taylor numerous times this year. Seems way to comfortable wrestling close matches. He has ability to open up but doesn't choose to be the aggressor. He did yesterday a little bit after head butt.

After watching Jesse Mendez a few times this year , I think he has improved from last year quite a bit. He's looking for more offense. No one is beating him unless he gets caught to his back or injured. When he walks on mat he looks more like 149 or 157 pounder. He's certainly the class of that weight.

He was also wrestling a redshirting 149 yesterday. That kid did what he could to stay in contact, but Taylor really needed to open up even more, and it cost them. If he gets the tech there, the match goes to criteria (and I have no idea who wins there). If he gets a pin, they beat the #2 team in the country.

He was winning 10-3 in the third and made almost zero attempts to score the major. It was a last second stall call because the OSU kid sprawled that got Taylor the major. If the major was truly dependent upon Taylor scoring he accepts the 3 point decision

Does “AJ Ferrari” stand for “Albert Jalopy Ferrari”?

I do not disagree, but I will add that 184 looks destined for 1-1 at end of regulation. Fishback has gone into SV five times this year (with Ferrari, Allred, Dean, and twice with McNeeley) and Rocco is no stranger in that regard (though that is based more on his 2004 NCAA run rather than this year). Anyway, expecting that match to be conservative and who know what might happen in SV/tb.

I think the 2 beatings he took from Vega have affected Hardy's confidence. He wasnt even competitive against Mendez, and a 1-0 result over Bailey is hard to explain.

People saying we looked mid today? After wrestling the day before, I thought we actually got after it pretty well, and was surprised how much energy we seemed to have. It's not always easy to get up for weaker teams. I thought it showed really good discipline on the part of the team.

I think he meant it as a arrow.
I doubt he is smart enough to know greater than, less than, or equals.
You may be correct, but somebody does. He has since changed the direction in his post. Make of it what you will :)
AJ:
“We now have a chip on our shoulder, and we put our heads down, get to work, and we will come back stronger, tougher, and more technical. Our Master, Yahuah, is refining me and my brothers both as wrestlers, as athletes, and most importantly as warriors in Yahusha (his son) for His bigger purpose. Lastly and most importantly, I honor Yahuah in my wins and losses. All Glory to Yahuah. My time will come – our time will come. I trust the process. No losses < only lessons. So be it. ‘And we know that all things work together for good to those who love Yahuah, to those who are the called according to His purpose.’ – The Holy Bible – Romans 8:28 NKJV.”
I believe he added the follow-up (maybe not):
No Catch-a-me> Catch-a-me. So Be it. "Thou shall not stop for police no matter how many times they try to stop you......Thou shall not get caught & charged with something worse than evading said police" The Holy Ferrari Creed- Italians OU8:12 NAJV

Manning says AJF got "a piece of humble pie, and maybe a little whipped cream on it too." Interesting choice of words. I wonder what on earth he means by that.

Around the 3 minute mark.

Yahuah means Lord or God in Hebrew. It doesn't mean he converted to Judaism. His original post quotes Romans 8:28 a book in the New Testament of the Bible. If Jewish he wouldn't be quoting verses from the New Testament.
