Watching Arizona and Florida, and just thinking how a clock would be nice, instead of judgement and difference in counts.

We need to move the three point line to about 15 feet away from the hoop to bring back the midrange shot.

Sports in general needs to utilize more advanced technology to improve the games officiating. Chips in the ball with boundary lines to detect the ball. Hell they can even have a counter installed into the ball that counts the 10 sec and 5 second. More available detailed cameras to cover all the courts, field etc. How about a laser that detects when the player or ball breaks the boundary line. If they do some of this then a lot of these reviews will be reduced. Why do we still use chains in football? Improved technology will remove most of the human bias and errors. I’m sure there are more opportunities to accomplish this. Here is an easy one. We all watch tv on big screen Tv’s and the refs have to do a review on a 12 inch one. Who sees more detail? I know there is a central station that reviews with them but why do we have to send it outside when we can do it right on the court? All it does is slow the game down. I’m sure there and many ways to skin this cat but are we willing to do this to preserve the integrity of the game. Maybe, maybe not?

Queue Tevia from Fiddler On The Roof….

Tradition!!!!

You got a point. Same argument with strike zone in baseball. I don’t think a device on the ball would work as the ball takes some punishment and even a proximity chip would suffer.

Like baseball there would be some serious argument about changing the sport. Even so called well meaning changes, NIL and Portal, can have devastating and disfiguring outcomes.

I don’t know the answer, but at some point the identity and integrity of the sport is eroded.

If we take out the human error, then we can't influence games for betting. Can't have that.

Some of them lose count of the mississippi's. I hate to see a team play so hard on defense, only to be screwed with a long or short Mississippi 😡

I try not to make fun of a ref because they might stutter. They can't help it.

In truth, they could take the refs out of it just by pressing a button at the scorers table. Let the computer blow the horn at 5 seconds
