Heading to Naples in a few weeks to hit the links. Last year I rented clubs at the course. This year taking my own. Here's my question for the AKB...Need a recommendation of a good golf travel bag to put on the plane...looking for something around $200...

Bag Boy makes nice travel bags in the $100 to $200 range.
Highly recommend a stiff arm for a soft bag to avoid a broken driver head, or it your metals can be uncoupled do so . Bob's stiff arm would put the bag overweight.

Seems like a good way to protect your clubs.
Need lots of help… I archery hunt, fly fish, golf, go to PSU games. All to excess! Not much work in me… retirement is the one thing I am really good at!

Wife and I both have BagBoy travel bags and BagBoy Backbone club protectors. Probably not the best, but we've traveled by air with our clubs a lot and have suffered no damage.
personally, I think you're crazy to take golf clubs on a plane. Look into ship stix. I've used them frequently, they're reasonably priced and I've never had a problem. All the top golf courses are used to receiving and shipping through shipstix
Reasonably priced? $175 to ship my clubs for 4 rounds of golf. To rent clubs at the course would cost me $200 for the four rounds. Take my clubs on the plane costs $35.
you can be 100% certain that TSA will inspect your bag after you check it with airline. I get their boilerplate note after every flight
What’s the big deal about checking the bag? All they will find is clubs, balls, tees and a cigar or two
sure… I’ve had a few things disappear though, like a high end range finder. So I guess don’t put anything super valuable in there
I will keep my cigars in another bag!!
Great gift idea for my buddies but I carry my bag 90% of the time. Need to find a cigar tool I can place while lit on the fairway or fringe.
Best bet is to fed ex your clubs to the first course you go to and then have them fed ex them back from the last course you play.

Yeah he only plays 16 holes which helps him post lower scores! ⛳️
