My daughter has UK #1 on her college wish list as she wants to go to the nursing school up there. So, we're visiting the weekend of the final home game vs. Florida (we'll actually be in town Thurs-Sun). I want to take the whole family to the game. Before I spend $150-$200 per ticket on StubHub, any suggestions on better ways to find tickets? I'd rather fork out the cash just to ensure I have tickets in hand, all together, than to take a big risk trying to buy from scalpers on the day of the game, but not sure if StubHub is the best way to go.

Thanks in advance.

You can try at 5:00 tomorrow (1/28) on Ticketmaster to see if the students had any left over that go to the general public.

If she is on a scheduled visit, have her check with the school of nursing. Sometimes they have access to tickets. Otherwise, for the Florida game, good luck. Scalping may be the best way to get tickets. I believe the scalpers are cheaper than stub hub.

I know of a family coming up from Florida that same weekend to take their daughter on a visit to the school. A guy I work with in West KY at a coal mine asked me if I could get some tickets for his family coming that same weekend. I have tried to get florida tickets but failed. It is going to cost quite a bit to catch that game unless you get lucky from scalpers.

The Florida game will have an inherently higher resale value since UK this year adopted a variable pricing policy where marque games carry a higher purchase price.

Our UF game tickets are $60 face, versus run-of-the-mill SEC games such as Georgia for example which is $28.

Funny since Georgia will likely be a far better game.

I will be back for that game as well. Let's face it folks, we are gonna have to pay a premium for that game!

Thanks for the responses folks. It was the only weekend we had available where we could do a college tour, nursing tour, and catch a game all in one trip. My oldest daughter is already in college and won't be with us so I just need 3 tickets. If I have to fork out big bucks, I'll probably just do it because I'd hate to travel all that way and not go.

Still not sure if I trust the scalper market as I could easily get shut out day of game. But I'll check out Ticketmaster and the Ticket Exchange.

Thanks again.
