Dana) OK, we saved a bundle by not firing him. So let's spend some of the savings!(Thinking like my wife when she goes shopping). Also could be some extra money by adjusting some overpaid staff. Most I believe agree that an Offensive Coordinator and QB coach might resolve some of the terrible play calling and improve
Howard's and other QB's techniques. This would relieve Dana' of some primary responsibilities and allow him to learn how to manage the clock. LOL Without said changes I look for the same kind of performance from Dana as this year. Unacceptable! IMO

No coach in the world is going to make our current QB a conference winner. Howard is giving us all he has, but all he has is not enough for the job in this conference. All we have done with Dana is kicked the can down the road so we can save some money and take a long term view at who we do want 12 months. I suspect, Lyons probably felt he needed to spend more time on the job before he made such a move. We have a lesser team next season than we do this one and the schedule is harder. It is going to be a long ugly season next fall.

Already at it predicting doom, gloom and failure and making assumptions about the coaching staffs. just sad and pitiful.

Lyons gave his support to the coaches and stated he'll work with the coaching staff to improve- nothing about waiting for anything and no reason to believe that more success will not come.

Some posters can't accept that their negativity didn't bring the destruction they hoped it would, but just won't move on--sad and pitiful.

I don't think Holgorsen can right the ship. I hope I'm wrong. The best option for WVU is for Holgorsen to pan out. StartIng over is costly. It usually ruins a recruiting year. Looking at next year's roster and schedule I'd think 8-4 would be a good season if we're competitive against the conference's best.

I've been wrong about WVU coaches before. I was with the crowd who used to think Gibson was a coffee-fetcher. He proven to be a good DC. He has good instincts in game.
