I saw some ball movement and a little defense last night. Moreno and Kam were encouraging. I have a little hope.

It was an impressive turnaround after being down 12. Pope loves getting down double digits n the first half to power 4 teams.

I'm not putting much stock into it overall though. Next 2 on road will tell us way more.

If we go 2-0 in the next two games, I will get a tattoo of mark pope’s face, squinting, looking upwards.
Not even kidding, y’all can hold me to it

I hope stuff clicks for this team so I can put my team schedule back up lol.

Tonight was the first time I've seen offense this year.

I said this about our collapse against Mizz. The choking we did at the end obviously overshadowed the rest of the game, but I thought Kentucky was showing some signs of cohesion and making the right plays. We just couldn't put it together for 40 minutes and crapped our pants in the end.

Maybe from here we can beat most of the middling SEC teams and maybe split the tough matchups and road games. That might get us to a 7 or 6 seed. Still doesnt feel great. But if we can finish strong and Pope can really take this season as a lesson, ill feel a little better.

Thing is, if everyone settles into their role and actually plays to their potential, we are still a final four team.

Big if and I don't think we get there this season, but still. Some life is really, really, REALLY nice to see right now.

I sort of feel that, ultimately, some of these guys were either overrated from the ranking services, or just not gonna be the right fits. I guess the latter can be fixed with winning. But I think our ceiling is sweet16 as of now. But who knows, still a long ways to go.

I wouldn't dismiss that MSU team so easily. They are a lot better than they played last night. This was a much better win than the team is getting credit for. They played Hubbard about as well as we have in years. He usually goes off against us.
