I live in a neighborhood and my neighbors who aren't technically in the neighborhood have about 20 free range chickens that lately have been getting into my yard and other neighbor's yards. Any of you law dogs out there know the rules? Do I have the right to shoot them if they start shitting on my porch, digging up around the house, or eating my plants? When mowing, their old bunch of chickens would chase after me when I made my lap close to where they were. I'd pick up a stick and knock the hell out of them. It's an older couple who really don't bother anyone so I don't want to be hateful. I just want those chickens and roosters out of my yard. I'll pop a few with a bb gun every so often but if they start to become a nuisance, I've thought about upping to a .22.
