Neighbor's free range chickens are always in my yard.

You can threaten litigation, if you want to pay a lawyer at least a couple hundred bucks to threaten “inverse condemnation” or prove specific damages.

Philosophically I am pretty split. I’m a lawyer that lives farther out in the country than you do, and would ignore chickens, so long as the neighbors made some food use of them.

I’ve had a cow/bull on the wrong property so damn many times, I would have to overlook chickens.

I live way out in the country. Wife has a few chickens, we don’t have any close neighbors, so ours aren’t a problem for others. Having said that, I hate the damned things. Flower beds are destroyed, and they **** all over the porch steps constantly. They will destroy a garden. I could go on. The wife says when they all die she will not get any more. So that means they will outlive me most likely.😠

Brother, catch'em and eat'em.... no worries no messes except, dig a small hole and bury dem feathers... Kind of like uh, killing two birds with one... uh, a bird in the hand, uh, wring a neck catch a..., You get the idea.... THEN, no more chickens...except when you buy them at the grocery store... YEAH, GROCERIES!!!!

That’s exactly what I would like to do BUT, my wife would find out what happened ( she always does). And I like sleeping inside too much. Hopefully the coyotes will get them, but she’d probably blame me for that too 😏

Thanks, but I’m gonna have to deal with Gods mercy later (hopefully much). And the damn chickens get all the mercy around here, else they would be in the septic tank by now.

Give your neighbors the ultimatum
of keeping their chickens from coming in your property or having you handle them yourself. Tell
them you’ll make it your hobby.

Build a “moat” of glue traps on 2x8’s (laid flat) (funnel them to a glue zone with low chicken wire fence if necessary.) Try to locate the glue zone where the neighbors will see it as much as possible. Locate it 1’ on your side of the property line. Give your neighbors until sundown to retrieve the any stuck chickens daily.

When they fail to retrieve them, kill them nightly and leave the carcass on the glue moat, in situ long as you can stand it. The growing evidence of indiscriminate death of creature under their care will make them feel worse about and help remind them that the blood is on their hands this whole time. They ultimately have all the power to prevent the fowl carnage before them.

And I wouldn’t collect eggs from my yard or butcher a chicken in a million years. Get real, collective Grizzly Adamses of this thread.

Unless they was shitting on my porch or vehicles then I really wouldn’t care, but I am also from Eastern Ky.
