and I in Nevada.

So you're telling me you live in a state which has legalized prostitution and is the sin capital of the world, yet you have a supremely superior ethical and moral obligation to tell me the way people should talk in my region?

Not a big deal but damn, that's some projection man.

Not telling you to do anything, but to believe a racial slur nigg*r is socially acceptable because you and your friends use it is asinine. How many men and woman died over trying to get rid of that word. How many centuries was it used to subjugate people, to make them less human.
Hey if that is your belief, well more power to you. I just think it's offensive and dated. Small way of thinking. Plus, why are you crossing different posts. Leave it in the other posts.

Plus I never came to believe I am morally or ethically superior. Just can't believe an attitude still exists today. That is all!
Peace in the Middle East.

Eh, I think my statement speaks for itself. I was just making a simple observation that is totally valid.

It's two different words. You just wont accept it.

I think the thread will survive our chit chat.

btw, slavery still exist today. Mainly in the sex slavery (forced prostitution) black market. I think that's closer to your wheelhouse. But selective outrage, yay.

Valid how pray tell, just because one lives in Nevada doesn't necessarily mean one subscribes to the '"sin capital of the world"
Lifestyle or morality/lack of. If people in your region want to use hate speech and normalizes it well I think it speaks volumes about you.

Always remember that the Government and the laws are not for the good citizens; they are for the ones who are unable to or unwilling to govern themselves.

Weed is illegal; drinking alcohol is not. I don't read articles; I am able to think independently. I am not against legalizing weed, per se, but as a mid to upper level manager, I don't want my employees high on weed. For most, it impairs your ability to work. I have smoked weed before; I have many friends who have. Unfortunately, I have seen many go to the harder drugs, and even a couple have died of an overdose.

I believe in personal responsibility; if you want to smoke weed and get high, that's fine, but you should be held accountable for any actions taken when high. That means, being impaired is not a good enough excuse for any wrongdoing. If your company bans weed, and you test positive, you get canned. Spare me the "he's just 18" BS; stupid choices have consequences (I expect smokers and drinkers to be wise; if you're not able to, then it's your problem), as they should. While I'm not opposed to legalizing marijuana; I believe that there should be legal penalties for those who harm others when under the influence.
Bro no one is saying go to work high.

See first of all your wrong. The NBA does drug test and certainly allows a substantial amount of Cannabis to be in your system because they know that an overwhelming large percent of the players partake.
You’re seriously making that argument after JUST GOT BUSTED FOR FAILING A SCREEN FOR WEED? If anything there is this wink wink system of knowing around the time tests will come. But the nba isnt allowing players to pass a screen with small-medium amounts of weed in their system, let alone substantial amounts.

This. Thread makes is easy to tell which posters have never been legitimate employers. Also provides suspicion for which posters have never been, are not, or have no desire to be legitimately employed.
Lol. Tell me about my employment history.

And as one the has the last day on hiring and firing, if an employee has an accident at work and takes the mandatory test, I’m gonna be way more lenient with pot in the system compared to being over the limit on alcohol at work

As you should because you could smoke a joint tonight and get in hurt in three weeks and still test positive even though you weren't even remotely high at the time of the accident. Conversely, you could do meth tonight and be clean by Saturday morning. It's BS, but the rules are the rules, I suppose.

Old people will never understand because they had it beat in their heads it' the devil so once they start to weed out, I think it will be legalized. No offense. Everyone 45 and under is probably for legilization.
67 and I'm for legalizing it and I don't smoke, but only for medicinal purposes. I don't think it's any worse than alcohol, but if you do either of them to get high everyday I believe you have depenncy problem.

That's probably true, as my job now makes me want to drink or smoke something due to the stress, but I know I can't afford to. Maybe I should own my own business. I don't really care to get rich, honestly. I want to work to live, and not live to work. I could possibly make 300-400K if I am fortunate enough to move up in the company, but the company would then own my life. I'm not sure if it's worth it. What's the point in making tons of money if you aren't able to enjoy it?
Agree. Reason why I basically retired in my mid-late 40s. I had had enough...and I had made enough.

No one here is advocating smoking weed and getting fired from your job.

Most places only drug test if you **** something up and they have to pay for it. They want any excuse to get out of paying for your **** up so if you smoked weed 21 days ago and it’s in your system bam that’s on you now.

Most people outside of this little area of the country are completely for legalization. 22% of the population lives in a state where weed is recreational. It’s well over half of the population for medical. But we still live in a state with counties that you can’t buy a beer.

I thought NBA doesn't test for MMJ.
Some people would rather blaze than take a pill for pain, sleep, it nerves. I don't fault them. Healthier and less damaging. Full disclosure, member of NORML
For goodness sakes man, we have opioid medication for pain, if he has arthritis they can inject cortisone right into his joint, if he can’t sleep he needs to take ambien. We have all of these unsafe, unnatural, and addictive medications already, I just don’t get why anyone would even want to smoke weed.

Fire up that weed. I'm 300X a better worker than anyone on this board when I am smoking weed. Maybe even 500X better. Throw in some crack and I could prolly outwork the Chinese. All the Chinese. 1 billion of them.

I was posting one beer vs one joint. Long haul? One beer a day is actually good for you. 1 joint a day would probably be bad for the lungs eventually. That was my point.
There are cleaner ways to indulge than smoking joints.

True, and to add (for those wondering) I have myself indulged in the past including Hash and dropped some acid (once did not like) and am not against legalization. Probably would not indulge anymore.

It's 2018 and its weed guys. It should be legal....but for noel..he shouldn't smoke because it jeopardizes his job but for weed to illegal is BS. I have a job that drug tests unfortunately so I don't smoke but u better believe when I take vacation time I buy a sack. He should of just been smarter......but for weed to be illegal is dumb and I think people are starting to realize that finally.

I worked at a place where they did random drug tests. If caught, got fired. Guys did it anyway ... and got fired.

I've been complaining about this since high school. Everyone has. But here's the simple truth that I've learned after growing up a little and dealing in some business ventures.

1. Pot heads, generally, are terrible workers. There are more pot heads than meth addicts, so it has to be dealt with more. Meth addicts aren't trying to get hired by our company, pot heads are. I have been a head on and off, it's always been a struggle. But even if I'm smoking, I'm still not trying to hire a head. Hypocrite? Or seasoned vet who gets it?

2. Pill heads are the absolute worst. The moods are unbearable, and if it's Xanax, I will not have have a relationship with you.

I agree with people that the best path is just staying away from all of it, even alcohol. Any kids I've taught, even my own, that's what I say. Because contrary to popular opinion, lots of people are held down in life over an addiction to pot.

"Bra u can't be hooked on no bud bra it's mental bra"....

That's great. Good thing to know you don't need sleep. Just lay in bed and stay awake. Your body will be fine, it's all mental from there.

:)

Yea but man, hash and was etc is just not fun. When I smoked (smoke) smoked....smoked, by 24 bongs, pipes, alternatives etc don't do it. Gotta have a paper.

From 14-24 it was rillos then I got sick of breaking it down.
